Start with Serenity! Do not make the same mistake that Fox did! No matter how tempted you are to show them one of your favorites, let them see the eps in order the first time around.
May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Agreed, the pilot is definatly the way to go. It seems a lot shorter than it is, when it's your first time watching it.
One thing - be sure not to hype up the show too much before you watch it: tell em just enough to get them in front of the TV.
Also, never say "This part is so funny/cool." Because qith this forewarning, it won't be as funny or cool as they'll expect.
Even the "kill you with my brain" part.

Whew! I don't know what I was thinking.
Crazy talk. I'll be showing Serenity first and, with regards to Static's suggestion, have enough food and drinks in the living room to keep them glued to the couch. I'm pretty excited. I could get as many as 8 converts in one sitting. Schweet.
