Robert Durst. Rich guy. Was on a killing spree for 30 years. There was evidence all over that he repeatedly committed murder. But Durst's lawyers were able to delay justice until he was a senile old fool arrogantly taking the witness stand. The American legal system cannot get convictions against the guilty when the defendant won't admit guilt and has excellent lawyers who know how to wear down overworked prosecutors who would rather move on to easier cases. Durst proved that the system doesn't work. If Durst hadn't foolishly run his mouth on the witness stand and during TV documentaries on the murders connected to Durst, there would be no conviction and Durst would have fan girls still claiming he is innocent.
