Nice Army of Darkness ripoff, though...

I heard about the zombie thing and had to laugh. The extreme being relished right now, tho' scary to see, are truly the sign of people with nothing to say and only a desire to spout idiocy.

The "death book" is as ridiculous as any of the other bullshit, and that some buy it whole cloth equally so. They really have to look hard for something to prattle about and make fun of; so far what they've come up with is laughable.

Niki, it should bring you some joy that after her appearance on The Daily Show, and the debacle she suffered as Jon Stewart dismantled her brick by brick, Betsy McCaughy got shitcanned yesterday from her board position with a medical devices company. Seems she made 'em look bad, so their "death panel" threw her overboard.

So much for loyalty...

Hello,

Based on the description provided, I'm hard pressed to find anything derogatory in the president's portrayal.

Sounds like it's not too kind to any of the characters, really. But that's satire, so good on 'em.

The article also mentions the "racial" controversy over the Obama/Joker posters, and I have to say... I just don't get it. It's a funny image, it's clever, but it's not any more "racist" a portrayal than The Joker is in the comix and movies. The Joker's not some sort of Al Jolson parody; he's a clown. There's plenty to be pissed about, but this is really grasping at straws, it seems.

Anyone who sees this and doesn't think of The Dark Knight and Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker is really out of touch with modern pop culture.

Yeah, I heard about that. I don't trust such things; I assume the person goes on doing the same thing "unofficially", or when enough time passes that people forget, they'll be rehired. I'm a cynic.

Stupid woman.

Tho' I did enjoy the hell out of Stewart cutting her apart...her determined idiocy was sooo obvious, you had to laugh!

I think it's a lot more than that. To me it's a play for all that fear and ignorance that is getting riled up by the right. It doesn't really matter WHAT negative image is used, as long as it incites fear...and those images DO.

Niki...

Most conservatives are doing the same thing that the liberals did with Bush.

And what both libs and Cons, did against 3rd party people...

Also, I find it funny that Obama is the one "fighting" the zombies... not leading them.
