Meshakhad, we're already started so you're probably going to have to come aboard, either as a passenger or by trying to get the captain to hire you. Only Nathan(The captain), Lincoln(First Mate), Bucket(Pilot) and Dale(Long-term passenger) were on the ship prior to the RP starting.
Have you read the IC thread yet? Might help to read it all and get a feel for how we've progressed so far.
Suggestion; might try just asking for passage and then negotiating a paying position at a later date(over or after dinner). But that's just a suggestion and you can come into the story however you feel is best. You can also try waiting and coming aboard later, if you like, either during the first job or after. Since so many others have joined up already. If the idea of coming aboard during the job is to your liking email me at l.bargara@gmail.com and we can discuss it, I have an idea for the job that this would work well with.
First posts are always the most awkward and difficult, just try to figure out a way to fit in and introduce your character. Good luck.

I could definitely try and be the heart. The original recipe for Mei Lara was:
1. Take Kaylee.
2. Put her through a war experience not unlike Mal's.
3. Give her some nasty facial scars.
4. ???
5. Profit!
The only real change has been in her skills and exact origins.
Mei has warmth inside of her, and she will open up to the crew - just not anyone else.

Mei - if you read the last In Character posts there, Maurie and Shade are standing on the ramp of the defiant.
you COULD end your post with actually talking to us, so we could respond. Even just saying "Hi there" would give us something to respond to. Get you involved.
And give me a chance to post, as I'm practically BURSTING with posting energy, and NONE of my groups are really active enough to keep me productive right now lol.
Just a suggestion! Ending with an open ended post (with something for people to respond to) gets more reaction (and more for you to post to) than a closed ended post (like, just walking up but not trying to interact with anyone).
Actually, I guess that's good advice ANY time lol.

I'm extremely sorry that I haven't been round in a while, I've been insanely busy with uni work, my job, and other such chores and events.
Unfortunately I can't promise that I'll be able to post regularly at all, as my uni work has become something of an on-going thing, so I think it best if perhaps you just get rid of Alexander from the crew.
