So you're saying she knew we were torturing people, only according to those who briefed her, we weren't, except for when we were, which she was told we weren't and never did, except for when we did. Right?

I mean, what is that you think she "knew", anyway? I thought you on the right were all convinced that nothing was done, other than a few harmless fraternity pranks, right? So you're saying she knew that people were being subjected to a little moisture and discomfort?

Why would you have a problem with that?

Either she knew we were torturing people, in which case you'd have to admit that we tortured people for her to "know" about it... or we didn't, and there's no controversy for you to try to stick to her.
