(sprays down MSA and NV with Sooper Dooper Killzitall, and allows a full forty seconds for efficacy..)

Glomping you both. Cautiously. At a safe distance. I don't want any eGerms.

I made pizzelles tonight. I'll be slathering a cannoli filling between two of them tomorrow, then repeating the process until they're all made up. (That's about 30 sammiches)

I just have to deal with the lamb and the phyllo bake, plus some bread, potatoes, and rice tomorrow. (I *think* that's it..)

We're having a party starting around noonish and going till wheneverish. If anybody's in town.. PM me and I can give you directions. Not that I think anybody's likely to show, but you never know!

Doctroid's doing chocolate peppermint ice cream, and cinnamon ice cream, and pizza, and sourdough beer bread. I made a ginormous pot of greens and beans soup. We've got booze and not booze. All I could ask for is a wood stove just in case the power goes out, but if that happens we'll just have to start dancing for warmth!

PS: I don't know you.

Morning All!

*sets up the Breakfast Bar*

*sets out a Vernors with a Candy Cane for FLT*

MSA - Good, good! Tell him to get well (you too!) pronto! No one wants to spend New Years with the Ick!

CMH - 5 years eh? That for both possible charges? You have your life on the lam (no not the little sheepy HK) and the assault of the NCO. It adds up quick and before you know it they are slapping you with multiple 5 year stints. On top of that only a year!!! 0.o Do you really think that spending a year in a military prison is going to be character building???

(sets out a -1.11C Dew (just about as cold as it is outside your window today only in Fahrenheit eh Sneaky Lass!!!XD) and an M&M Ice Cream Sammich' in the Shadows for the Sneaky Lass)

awesome story to tell everyone:
I went to a friend's house for a new years party, and she had invited two friends that I've met, but don't really know all that well (they're a couple--chris and amy). I walk in, and pretty much everyone's already there, and I see Amy wearing a very familiar yellow and orange hat...
so as I'm walking around the edge of the couch to say hi to everyone i see her, stop, and go "is that a Jayne Cobb hat?" and she was like *SQUEEE* "oh my god i LOVE YOU!!!" and jumps off the couch to give me a hug XD i even got a picture of the hat, it's epic.
Needless to say, she chris and i were quoting firefly and serenity for the rest of the night XD. awesome party. that made my year.

Ok, well its about 5 am here and i just got home a little while ago, so i'm gonna get some shut-eye XD hope everyone has a good new years holiday.

*snicker* They're behind us? Right now, where I am, the New Year's festivities aren't quite over ('course that's because where I am, New Year's is as important as Christmas )

I agree with the exhausting portion of the festivities...New Year's Eve to New Year's Day I was up from 5 or so on the 31st, napped for a hour around 3 pm...then was up until 10:30 or so yesterday. (New Year's Eve was at the shrine helping with the cooking [I now know a huge, bulk recipe for dashi, and can put together the parts for the shrine's "mochi soup" a.k.a. ozoni and kuromame a.k.a. sweet black beans] for the New Year's celebrations, running errands and whatnot until 6, then the family get together, watched the fireworks at midnight, went back to the apartment to drop off leftovers and prep to go to the shrine, then off to the shrine to be in the kitchen from 3 am until nearly 10, a half hour nap, and out with my aunt, mom, and cousin until 2:30 pm)...

*checks Kel's list of well-wishes* waitamin...I was forgotten? Tristan doesn't even show up here anymore....*pouts briefly* Guess you don't love me anymore....*sobs*

MsA: Yes, visiting the doctor is of the good when sick MsA -- especially when someone has insurance (without is a bit trickier money-wise).

*makes sure that the can-o-'Dew is properly polished, some Eggos with butter, whipped cream, and syrups for the ninjakitty* *makes a pot of tea, a pot of cofee, and hot chocolate for those who want something warm*

Tristan's not only busy with his honey bunny, he's still plugging away at his baby.

You can find him at the 76th proboards.
Seek out the 76th Independent Battalion thread, then follow linkage to the site. You can PM him from there if you can't from here.

I think there's been a new job within the last year, and I know for a fact he moved.

I survived my first day back after two weeks of vacation. Yay.
Monday starts the 12 hour shifts. Yay.

...and I'm back to the shrine today to serve more ozoni and new year's foods to the volunteers who work the front of the temple. I had my first experience with "fresh" coconuts. I was amazed at the size of the things, as someone had (to my untrained eye) hacked the shell away already and wrapped it in cling film.
Imagine my surprise when it turned out the little brown nut was still in there somewhere.
I did get more milk out of them than I've ever seen come out of one before, and was amazed at being able to scoop the meat out of the shell with a spoon.
They must be heavenly straight off the tree.

I stuck some coconut in a little jar of rum. It smells wonderful.

(Is there an emoticon for catching a whiff of something amazing?)

Hey all,

so first day back was fun, ten past six and the damn support phone goes off and I had to spend an hour working on it before I'd even had breakfast and I'm dealing with some moron who I have to instuct where the shift key is.

Just got my workout in and my word it was cold down there, I spent 40 mins lifting weights and didn't even break a sweat.

Hope you're all doing good, my mate is always talking about left 4 dead at the moment, maybe I ought to get it but currently obsessed by Lego Star Wars, which my wonderful other half bought me for Christmas.

Anyway, got to crack on, hopefully a better day tomorrow.
