I heard a little story a couple weeks ago about a clerk in a convenience store who thwarted an armed robbery without even trying, just by misunderstanding the perp's instructions.

Perp points a gun at the clerk, holds out a bag, and says, "Fill this." The clerk reaches out and starts groping the bag, thinking he said "Feel this," at which point the perp yells, "What the hell is WRONG with you people?!" and runs out of the store without a penny!
