Welcome, Aussie! Like you, I also got into the series through the film. I hate myself for that, since it ruined the ending for me. I should have had more faith in Joss and bought the box set first, even though it was twice as expensive. (Joss is boss.) If I could go back and do my life over again, that is one of only two things I would change. (Possibly my priorities are a bit out of whack... Anyway...)
Also like you I was new to message boards when I found this place, and had never posted anything. Now, I get pulled away a lot, but when I'm here I post as much as I can and love the discussions I've gotten involved in. If you're looking to extend your Firefly/Serenity experience by debating its nuances ad nauseum with other Browncoats, you've come to the right place!
