Wow you really missed a lot while you were gone... um yeah I moved to Nevada to be with NV ( ok seriously he is the most incredible man on the face of the earth and I am really sorry the rest of you will have to settle for second best) I love it here ...strangely one of my dogs loved it at first, and then went mental and is terrified of the yard...still working on that.
I have a great new job and a cute new house ( see pic thread for some shots of it) and life is soooooo good:)

Oh MsB I'm so very hap[py for you enjoying your new life. I know that we all often come here to vent about our cr@ppy days and get booze and sympathy (I know I moan way too much!) and the bar is great for that (hence the breakables room), but it is so very nice to see someone truley happy for a change. Makes the world seem that much brighter!

for msb, typod directly from Nanny Ogg's Cookbook by terry pratchett, with apologies for copywright infringement upon posting this recipe.

Chocolate Delight
with Special Secret Sauce

delight:
250g self raising flour 3eggs beaten
60g cornflour 90ml milk
30g cocoa powder 125g white choc chips
155g caster sugar 4-5 tbsp dark chocolate syrup
155g unsalted butter

sauce:
150ml double cream 1/4 tsp nutmeg
6-7 cardamom pods 60g white or milk chocolate
1/4 tsp cinnamon 20ml white rum

Preheat to 190C. Mix all dry ingr for delight in bowl and rub in the butter. add eggs and milk and beat thoroughly. Swirl in white chips and syrup, ripples, not overmixed. divide to 2 20cm well greased deep cake tins and bake in top of oven for 30min or until skewer comes clean.
(cross btwn pudding and cake, should be moist. allow 5 min to cool and transfer to airtight container if not serving immediately)

start sauce 10 min before delight is ready. warm cream with spices (no boil!), break chocolate and stir in, when melted add rum. keep stirring then fish out cardamom. serve with delight.

drags self under potted palm in darkest possible corner of bar.

To explain the emoticons: There's this sci-fi convention that me and my dad go to every year, they have a worst metaphor contest. And, I just came up with the perfect entry for this years contest:

The idiotic firefighter, instead of keeping the hose aimed at the fire, sprayed water everywhere; kinda like how a chicken spurts blood as it's running around the yard with it's head cut off.

I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a winner; this is way better than the one I came up with last year, and that won second place (my dad got first). I hope that this year, I'll get first and dad'll get second

MEL BROOKS FUCKING ROCKS!!! he's so effing messed up XD my faves of his are The Producers (dad loves that one too, but for some reason my grandmother finds no humor in it @_@) and Robin Hood Men In Tights.
I also find Real Genius to be hilarious in many ways, and the always original Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

I could only pop in very briefly to wave at you all, our telephones (and internet) are still broken. Had to come over to a friend's house to use her computer as was suffering withdrawal symptoms. If I'm quiet for a few days then know that I am thinking of you all whilst bemoaning my isolation.

It's my precious LA and my precious Whimsy - I have been missing you guys - I keep telling Naughtyman I ought to write an email or make a phone call, but we've been so very busy and I am rather absorbed with him and all that's going on at the moment... I hope you can forgive me and know I am thinking of you!

Navy - how's the job going? I cannot wait to hear about it!

We just went to the park with the girls (Lulu - who's in one of the pics above, and Maggie - who is my little chaperone. The number of times NM & I have started to get amorous and Maggie will stick her nose or position herself between us... ) anyway - we went for a lovely walk and the dogwoods are in bloom and I saw squirrels!! And lots of birds... it's so pretty here and in a few days we are heading up from Virginia to Boston!!!

Miss you all and I hope you're all happy and healthy - for those of you in the UK I'll be there in less than a fortnight and I'm going to live just outside London in Kent near Tunbridge!

Anyway - lots to do so enjoy your day!
