Who says that the writers aren't fans of Firefly? As a matter of fact, Casey was written with Adam in mind b/c of his work on Serenity.

I immediately thought of River's line as well. The Simon/Morgan connection never crossed my mind.
Regarding the rest of the episode --- it absolutely stunk. It was stupid, trite, and overly caricaturist. I'd been lukewarm about the show so far. It seemed to me the episodes alternated between worth watching again and not. Well, last Monday's may have ended it for me.

Arrghh!! I missed it! I had it on, but was toying around w/ my new XB360 , and playing Halo3, of course. I caught some quotes in the game by Adam and Nathan, including Nathan's use of 'gorram'.
Which reminds me...why wasn't Julie Benz in Halo3 ? She was the voice of Miranda Keys in Halo2, why not do a follow up??

I'm amazed that nobody mentioned the whole "boy in the box" scene when they discovered Bryce alive. I jumped right out of my seat when they opened the box and I saw there was a person in there. Did anyone else feel that same way or was it just me?

And did anyone notice the way Casey was polishing the 1985 Crown Victoria Police Special and how he talked about all his special add ons? I was expecting to hear that he called it Vera.
And during the previews for the return of Chuck did anyone get a feeling that Ariel was about to be seen again?
