You don't need to take a color version for that! Much more effort to desaturate everything but the eyes than it is to just add some color in!

Ok, I tried it on a close-up one (sorry if it's a bit too close), but I did it the hard way, with desaturation. My eyes look so strange! I swear I did nothing to mess with the color, they really do look like that! How odd...

Okay, I found some that worked (and also a better way to convert to B&W which kinda made me whap myself in the forehead)
Arguably the best shot of the blue eyes I've ever taken:
One of my favorite pictures in general (which also had visible eyes, rather than very dark or flashed-out eyes)
And since Kel suggested it:
{deleted because it looked dumb and was the wrong pic anyway}
Though I'm not sure it came out realistic; kind of a small image to try this with.
