Anybody calling or faxing in might wanna play up Firefly's connections to the other stuff they already love...

Mark loves Slither and the Alien movies.

Brian loves any Sci-Fi that's not gory.

Both of 'em loved Toy Story, as well as Dodgeball and I, Robot, and they're both eager to see "Spamalot".

Their HUGE fans of Westerns!
(The guys had walk-on roles on The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. & Star Trek: TNG)

Darlin', you'd be a legend anywhere you're known.

Why NOBC, you made me blush!

Not an easy feat, mind you!

It's Friday, so Switchboarder Chris, the Browncoat, our "inside man", is s'posed to be mannin' the phones!

If a woman answers (that'll be Preva), ask for Chris.

Also, if you fax, you might wanna say some'n about how there're only 14 episodes in the series (so it's not a huge commitment), and how Fox jacked us by refusing to air the pilot until after the cancellation order, and how they scrambled the order of the 10 episodes that were actually aired (not good for a running storyline).

Ever since Janet's "wardrobe malfunction", the guys have been really bummed about the new FCC restrictions on language (There's a whole lot of their old material that can't be re-aired!), so mention how Joss snuck all that R-rated cursing onto Network TV by having them say it in Chinese!
That'll inspire camaraderie!

I've got a blister on my Redial finger now (51 minutes!), but I finally got through to Switchboarder Billy, who told me that Switchboarder Chris only works Thursday & Saturday afternoons!
He hasn't worked the Mark & Brian shift since last summer!
Preva lied to me! (Either that or she's confused.)

Oh well, at least Billy let me explain myself longer than Preva does, and he seemed genuinely interested, and he said he'd talk to Chris about borrowing the DVDs.

Jeez, the things I gotta do!

I just had a look at the trailer for this little independent movie Mark somehow found time to write and star in a few years back...
(I never heard one peep about it on the show until just the other day, when it came out on DVD!)

"Mother Ghost" Trailer

Each cast member is a "Friend of the Program" (they've each made numerous appearances on the radio show).
Recognize anybody?

It's Monday, so let's light up those phone lines and the fax machine!

EDIT: Well, they just got 1,000 Family Four-Packs to Disneyland for the "Pirates of the Carribean" 40th anniversary event on May 10th dumped into their 'junk drawer', so the phones are gonna be swamped with kids wanting to sing or tell a joke for tickets.

That's it, I give up.
