I thought the ending of A.I. was well done, though very depressing. Although he got to be with his mother again it was only for one day. I am not ashamed to admit that I cried at the end of the movie...gorram sappy endings ;P

Yep. I prefer to pretend that movie ends when you think it's gonna. The last part looks very tacked on.

Which it was. If you read Brian Aldiss' notes on his story and how it came to be a movie, you'll see that it was never supposed to end that way.

I thought A.I. was one of the worst, most boring, and pointless movies I ever saw. I would have walked out halfway through if I was there alone, but I went with my wife, so I just kept quiet. After it was over, she told me she wanted to walk out.

That movie SUCKED like a young Christy Canyon.
