I made omelet (sorta) for dinner tonight! Mushroom, onion,garlic, red bell pepper, broccoli, and cheddar cheese. Now I have nice mushroom broth from sizzling the shrooms and alliums together in olive oil, then adding water. Mmm, sooop...
Made Hubbs a hot water, lemon juice, honey, and brandy concoction to warm him in his battles with the snow monster.
I'm about to crack open a microbrew, but I'll cheerfully take something virtual too!

While the northern hemisphere freezes, we here in the Antipodes continue to feel the heat. In some cases it's more extreme than others. Take, for example, one day late last week when I was woken up to a response page. I went to the fire expecting the engine to have overheated and not mush to deal with, instead, we got this:

My injured hand is sore but healing fast. The holes where I took out the stitches are closed up, and the would itself is almost scabbed over, what little space there is still left between the halves of the cut.
