Tucking the note into his jacket pocket, 13 let out a deep, human sigh. Leaving, coming, going...would he ever finally stay somewhere where he could make a place.
With a few mumbled 'whatevers' to the residents of Haven and a prim nod to the girl Dinah, 13 boarded the one-manner, a gift from Calisto. What a nice lady.
'Okay...just do it like Wolf toldja,' 13 thought. 'Go easy, try not to twitch the yoke.'
With a rumble and a triumphant grin, 13 lifted off of Haven, staring down at the planet. Haven? Not for him.
'Oh well,' he thought, Serenity's NavSat burned into his brain, 'At least I'll see Fly. That'll be nice, unless she shoots me again.'

To bump or not to bump? That is the question.

BUMP
CRASH
SMASH
...and thus the primary buffer panel flew of into the atmosphere of lilac like a leaf on the wind (with less soaring, and more hard impact at 300 mph into the ground)
"... what was that?" asked Mal, slightly concerned for the safety and well being of his ship.

"Whoa did you see that?" replied Wash as Serenity bucked again.
"Was that the primary buffer panel?" asked Mal, a little angry that a piece of his dear ship just flew off.
"Looks like." replied Wash as he handled Serenity's controls.
"I thought Kaylee checked our entry couplings! I have a very clear memory of it!" shouted Mal.
"Yeah well if she doesn't give us some extra flow from the engine room to offfset the burnthrough, this landing is gonna get a little interesting." replied Wash as he fought the controls.
Mal turned to Wash and asked "Define "interesting"."
"Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die?" replied Wash in a calm manner.
Mal walked over to the comm and opened the shipwide channel.
"This is the Captain speakin'. Due to a little problem with our enrty sequence, we may experience slight turbulence and then explode." said Mal into the comm.
As Mal prepared to leave the bridge he said to Wash "Can you shave the vector?"
"I'm doing it, it's not enough." replied Wash. HE then hit the comm and said "Kaylee!"
"Well just get us on the ground." replied a frustrated Mal as he leaves the bridge.
"That part'll happen, pretty definitely." replied Wash.
Jayne climbed out of his bunk, carrying enough weapons to outfit a small army. Seeing Mal, Jayne said "We're gonna explode? I don't wanna explode."
"Jayne, how many weapons you plan on bringin'? You only got the two arms." asked Mal as he looked at Jayne.
"I just get excitable as to choice, like to have my options open." came Jayne's reply.
"I don't plan on any shootin' takin' place durin' this job." replied Mal.
"Well what you plan on and what goes down, ain't ever exactly been similiar." shot Jayne.
Mal eyed the grenades that Jayne was carrying and said "No grenades."
Jayne groaned and Mal repeated "No grenades."
Zoe enters the front hall just as Mal makes his way for the engine room.
"Are we crashin' again?" asked Zoe.
"Talk to your husband. Is the mule prepped?" replied Mal.
"Good to go sir. Just loadin' her up." replied Zoe.
As Mal makes his way to Kaylee's domain, Zoe spots Jayne.
"Are those grenades?" Zoe asks Jayne.
"Cap'n don't want 'em." replied Jayne in typical Jayne fashion.
"Jayne we're robbin' the place. We're not occupyin' it." replied Zoe, who headed for the bridge.

"...lee? What in the sphincter of hell..." The captain's voice trailed off as I walked past the engine room, making my way into the cargo bay, leaning against the catwalk railing.
Well. If not at all smooth, we'd certainly hit the ground at one point.
"Have to go for awhile." The timid yet forward tone of voice only River could manage creeped up from roughly three feet to my left. Looking for her, I let out a high 'GAH!' when I noticed her spread out on the catwalk.
"Isn't that...uncomfortable?" I asked. "There are beds..."
She shook her head. "Prisons. Strap you down, cut you inside."
I winced at that. I'd gotten the story about her in little tidbits from the crew, and after the slow rage I felt so much...pity? Is that the right word?
"Never mind that," I said. Fantastic advice, Mr. Niccolo. "Why are you up here alone?" And an even more fantastic question.
She smiled. "Waiting. Thirty and twenty, then you'll see."
"Of course," I said, leaning against the rail in silence.
Roughly a minute later, I heard the clink of shoes on the grated catwalk.
"River?" Simon, soothing to his sister, yet still infuriating to me.
"I know," she said, not moving from her position. "I'm going for a ride."

John climbed slowly into Inara's shuttle he didn't know why he had come here he just wanted. He knew when his vision about Book happened he'd be near her. Book was a strange man, a shepard even after his dark past. They had met before a secret neither of them would tell. Book came out of it with a friend. Book had set John on a path to rightiousness. Did John do the same for Book? He felt a bump as the ship touched down.
He walked into the Cargo bay. "Do you understand your part in all this" He heard the captain say" "Do you" A monumental event was about to occur it started here. The Captian, River they would be major players. Would John? Should he stick around for the pain he felt coming. Yes for Kaylee, and for The rest of the crew they will need a shoulder.

"Wait, she's going with you!?" I shouted at Reynolds as he climbed aboard the hover mule with an irritated look on his face.
"How many people do I have to explain myself to? She's got skills rest of us don't, Oath, that might come in handy if we get into a situation."
Seething for a few moments, I spoke up just as Mal threw the hover mule into drive with a lurching hum.
"I'll accompany you, then."
"What?" Jayne grunted. "We ain't got a need fer a Core-born sissy!"
Reynolds shot Jayne a look, and turned towards me. "Jayne ain't wrong. 'Sides, mule won't run with five."
"Uh, Cap?" the engineer asked timidly. "Actually, it'll run just as easy with five as it will with four. Jack's ol' mule wouldn't've, but this shiny new one..."
Mal gritted his teeth, trying to ignore my expectant glare.
"Fine," he growled. "Get your ass on, and hold tight."
The hum smoothing out, we left the cargo bay in the care of smiling Kaylee, frowning Simon, and the others, as Mal grumbled, "Why do you wanna go with us anyway?"
Not being able to answer that question, I simply tried to enjoy the ride as much as I could.
"So, what's the plan, Captain?" I asked. "If I'm going to help, I should have a...worker's insight."
"There's a little bank in town," he explained, "That holds the local defense contractor's pay. We go in there, and we take it with as little fuss as possible."
"That's why we're goin' in on a Sunday," Zoe added. "Won't be any crowds."
I nodded, a little annoyed that they'd be so ready to bring River into an operation like this, but I suppose they'd been through much worse on their adventures. The gunfights, the dogfights, and that business I'd heard about on Londinium...Yes, they'd been through worse than this.
Parking in front of what must have been the bank, Jayne stood up conspicuously, unzipping his jacket to display a repeater.
"Shiny. Let's be bad guys."
We crashed into the bank, Zoe first, Mal barking orders to the patrons. With efficent movements, Zoe blew out the security cam while Jayne performed what looked like a Tombstone on a security officer. I shucked my mouseguns out of my sleeve holsters, sweeping the area cautiously.
Last came River, stepping carefully into the bank. I chuckled as I saw she was barefoot, and came this close to chiding her about it. Why, she might step on a gun or broken glass, or something.
She seemed to consider the place for a moment, before pointing at a rough-bearded, curly haired man. Zoe put her gun to the side of his head, and her vice was the only sound in the building.
"Know what the definition of a hero is?" she asked, the gun still pointed at his head. "Someone who gets other people killed."
The man threw a gun, and resumed the stay-on-the-ground position.
"Big happy family?" Mal said dryly.

BUMPILICIOUS!!!
Mal moved toward the Trade Agent and hauled him over to the wall safe, as Zoe and Jayne followed.
The Trade Agent said "This is just a crop moon, don't think you'll find what you..."
Mal cut the man off and said "Bi zui rong wo men fa cai! (Shut up and make us wealthy!)"
The old man moved towards the wall safe and punched in its combination. Zoe and Jayne stood behind Mal as the old man opens the safe and gets out of the way.
"At last we can retire and give up this life of crime." replied Zoe sarcastically, as she saw the small amount of bills and scattered coins in the safe.
Mal gives her his "Don't you have faith in me" look and reaches into the safe. He pulls on the hidden lever at the top and a passage way opens up near Jayne.
"Hey!" shouted Jayne as he was caught off guard by the sound of a part of the floor sliding away.
"Y'all are Browncoats eh? Fought for independence? Petty thievin' ain't exactly soldier's work." replied the Trade Agent.
War's long done old man. WE're all just folk now." came Mal's reply. He then shouted into the passageway to the vault "Listen up! We're comin' down to empty that vault!"
"You have to give me your authorization password!" shouted the guard from below.
Jayne sneered and fired off a burst from his submachine gun down the stairs.
"Okay!" shouted the guard as the gunfire stopped.
Mal then motioned for Zoe to follow him into the vault, as Jayne stood guard.

Oath you didn't type the "definition of a hero line" That's my favorite.
Meanwhile back at the ranch I mean ship
John stood on top of the cargo bay walkway. He laughed as he saw the doctor constantly coming back and looking out in hopes of catching his sister.
"She'll be back when she gets back" he called after look 50 he'd been counting.
"Next your going to tell me these jobs are safe." John began to climb down the stairs and stopped midway. "I won't lie to ya. I've been on many a job with this crew, and many on my own. I've been shot at 679 times 14 times a bullet hit. I've been stabbed beaten broken just about every bone in my body and even been totured for hours at th ehand of an elderly Russian man. But, I made it through. River's tough she'll survive. Besides job like this, there is absolutely nothin to..."
John stopped talking suddenly and grabbed his head. He let out a moan, intense pain eminating from his head. He fell down the stairs and began convolsing. Simon rushed toward him and tried to calm him. "John what's wrong"
"So angry. Danger. Rea..." He lost contiousness before he could finish his sentence
