Morning, all!
Welcome aboard, BrownCoat1!
As it has only been one day, I have not accomplished too much. I'm still trying to get caught up on my other sewing projects, but the ideas are flowing. That list RIMG posted is a good guidline...the only thing I want to add to it would be the cloth overcoat. I'll get to working on that over the holidays.
Ok, time for coffee and then more perusal of the boards...

Hey Tristan!! You know I'm in!! I would offer to bring weapons along but, like Seryn, I'm pretty certain they will be frowned upon when passing through customs...

If needed I can supply about 20 reaver costumes, not nearly as nice as my bros but with a little fake blood they look pretty scary. I know not really what folks are going for here, buuutI could mail them up to someone prior to that weekend if need be, they were used for a serenity LARP at the LoneStar Shindig.
A quick trip to the local dollar store can supply an army with crappy weapons :)
On the balls and bayonets brigade ( i love that name by the way) definately check your local army surplus, they rock and often you can buy the ww2 suspenders and even pants.

20 Reavers...oh, mercy! You want to see grown men reduced to running rabbits, is that it?!?
I do want to try to have a common carry weapon, which is why I am aiming for the G36 C's (thanks, Citizen!). The good-looking Airsoft versions are all over ebay for reasonable prices. I plan on picking a few of them up, so I will have extra firearms for those that don't have them, especially our brethren and sistren from across the pond (s).
As far as the pants, the ones I have are from Wild West Mercantile, and are a very close match to the Captain's...and he and Zoe both wore that kind of pants during the war. I would guess just about anything khaki-looking would work, but for those interested, I'll post the link...

Tristan, point me in the direction of one of the guns so I can go ahead and bid on/buy one.
Also, with the coats, are we planning on all cloth, or will leather ones (like the one I want to get) work too?

Seryn, did you find a knitting pattern for this mail stuff? Because, as you know, I'm a knitter and might be able to help out with that aspect.
I dunno if I want to get into the glue and all that, but if someone needed knitting, I could look into it.
I'd think a basic reverse stocking stitch would look kind of mail-like.
