I'm pretty open minded and non-judgmental. I can't recall a "first interaction with them, that just triggers a bit of a 'You're dead to me' response?" I try not to make snap decisions about people. The one characteristic that I can think of that would probably give me that reaction is intentional cruelty. I don't like to be around anyone that is viciously mean to others.

PhoenixRoseI have met people to whom I have taken ian instant and intense dislike mei mei... and I have had 'friends' who have beocme so self absorbed that for the health of my own mind and soul I have let them vanish from my concience... but I have never actually thought - 'you are dead to me', especially about someone I had not met before - I do not think I could care enough to 'mentally kill them' in my heart if you know what I mean?

Well, there have been occasions where I've been put right off a person the first time I've met them. "You're dead to me" is a bit extreme (and I get that you didn't mean it to be!), but I have occasionally made a mental note to avoid someone. It usually has to be something pretty big to put me off so strongly.
Generally, I get along with most people, which makes my life a lot easier. I come accross people I don't particularly like, but who doesn't? And after many years of being a chronic attention seeking people pleaser I've learned not to worry if everyone doesn't like me either. People clash. It's a fact of life. It's no big deal.
But you guys like me, right?

Ignorant people, especially those who are completely convinced that their ignorant ways are correct, trigger this response in me. Gender is not an issue. I tend to do my best to ignore them.

RIMG, I agree completely; I think that's what has really put me off before, too.
And just to clarify, the "you're dead to me" thing basically meant that you don't give them any attention and act as though they don't exist unless you have to aknowledge them. It was the best way I could come up with to put it.

You're quire pretty in all the right ways, Browncoat. See yourself that way, not with so much of a critical eye.
People look at themselves in a mirror from the vantage point of about 12 inches, while most of the public sees us at a distance of some feet, in normal settings. It's easy to see how the close up view we see ourselves can make flaws stand out like a piece of lumber rather than a splinter.
I would take you in a womanly fashion, and make sure we both got everything there is to take out of it. And so would many of us out in the 'Verse. Stand tall and don't stop test driving those females, staying away from the batshite ones, if you can. :0)
