Insane Fans Movie Line

Just a little idea that came to me the other day in the forums. I think an excellent way to spread around news about Firefly. Wait in line for Serenity 2 right now. Nothing big, just a LOT of Browncoats waiting in line for the inevitable Serenity sequel. To get a lot of coverage, we'd need to be there for 24 hours minimum, just to get people wondering what the heck we are doing. At the front of the line a nice Serenity 2 trailer one of the fans makes, and a lot of fliers to hand out to people asking why the heck we're waiting in line for a movie that hasn't even been announced.

I can see the headlines now, "Complete Nutters Wait in line for non-existent movie".
IMO this would produce the bad kind of attention and wouldn't exactly send the right message to Universal; the "complete nutter" community isn't exactly catered too.

I agree that Universal wouldn't respond - they already know there is a highly dedicated browncoat community and that we can look very large. They would write this off as a stunt. For BDM2 to get off the ground, we need to generate sales from non-browncoats. Universal will only respond to people buying product that shows up on their bank balance (mainly dvds).
Conversely, if BDM2 was ever green lighted (green lit?), this is exactly the sort of stunt that would generate a little attention and hopeful get bums on seats. The queues start on the day the project is announced and form regularly until the show hits the theatres. On the shelf until then.
