I'm about to go to bed, but wanted to say hi first.
Okay; I'll go wambat. But I can't out cute you.
We've had every other furry creature so far.
The guy who sits next to me told me he is leaving in two weeks. Man, I just get someone broken in and they take a hike. He really is a nice guy too. We got along and he would roll his eyes everytime I mentioned Firefly and say "Addicted".
We had a great time. They better find someone who I can get along with or I'm next.
Will stop ranting now. Got to rant on occasion or brain will overload.

Oh - and for the cute factor - my 5 year old 'Su Che' woke up this afternoon and came in just as the end of Serenity was on and she saw Kaylee and Simon kissing and then disappearing and she said "Oh Kaylee got Simon, and she kissed him and then they just had a bit of a lie down" ... too cute...

Traveler...I hear ya. While I've actually got tenure/senority where I'm at, we've had several times when I kept looking about me wondering if I was too blind to see the rats abandoning ship.
Having folks bolt before they've even got their 6 month review is especially dis-heartening. (We've had several do it just because of the supervisor's attitude. Gah!)
Taking stock in the sitch is a very good idea. You don't want to stay if they're going down for the count, but don't rush into anything 'cause frankly, the job market really sucks dead wombats through straws. I've got friends who are very well educated, and haven't been able to get a job other than temping for the past two years. (This is why I've stayed put. Much as I hate the gos-se that goes on, it's a regular paycheck.)
So, take it easy, okay? *hugs*
