I'm spoiled. I live a 15 minute walk away from where I work. After years of 6am starts I now sleep in 'till 8 or 8:30. *bliss*

EDIT- Don't be discouraged, Emma. It takes time to find a really good job, but it does happen!

If you want a good luck boost, light a green candle every Thursday, and think about the perfect job you'd love to have. Imagine yourself getting the interview, being hired, your first day as clearly as you can in your head. You only need do it for a couple of minutes, but it'll help you get into the right frame of mind and should speed the search along

Half an hour walk for me. Still horrible with mornings.

Emma, you are qualified to work with snakes, right? There can't be too much competition for ladies who can wrestle snakes. So...you could get yourself a big python and go in for a more...exotic line of work.

Sorry, this wasn't helpful. Zen hugs and good wishes.

Morning, fellow Forsaken!

Emma, I agree...snake-dancing would be good!
Sorry...that was uncalled for. Have you thought of starting in research in the Universities, or is that not an option?

FMF! FMF is here?!? Where?? I miss seeing her!

Hey, Penguin...thought you were on a flight to Australia?

Morning Forsaken!

Job hunting sucks! I stumbled into mine. Was not going to even send my resume but I had revised it that afternoon for another position and figured what the heck. Good thing too. I got my job here and I like it alot. The people are great and it has been alot of fun so far!

So just don't give up and eventually it might just drop into your lap.

Edit: Also dont't just look for places that are hiring. Find a place you might like to work and send your resume anyway. Alot of places do not post jobs anymore even if they are hiring. They just wait for people to send in resumes. Not too mention if they see something that they like they might even "find" an open position for the "right" person.

There's also my Simple Spell For Prosperity. Accompany each verse with the appropriate action (light a candle for fire, burn incense for air, etc.)

A Simple Spell For Prosperity
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Goddess above, protector of witches,
Giver of love, grant me your riches.

Earth below, your bounty dispense,
Grant me now my due affluence.

Air that traverses plains and ravines,
I beseech you now; provide me the means.

Water whose strength and purity blesses,
Guarantee all my endeavors successes.

Fire; come forth to complete these quartettes,
I invoke you now to secure my assets.

God of the hunt, see me with clarity,
Guide my hands now into prosperity!

So mote it be!

a little job suggestion for those looking...go and check out the Small Business Administration they do 504 small business loans and one of the qualifying factors is that the new business has to be ready to create a certain number of new jobs to get the loan so the companies they are working with will be just about to start hireing ( this is U.S. applicable only, so sorry Emma HUGS...though I have to say you'd be one seriously sexy snake charmer and if you got a little semi transparent outfit...I digress)

I had that really fun job that I loved going to everyday, then I got layed off, and now I have to look again. So we can sit in the forsaken party room and search want adds together.

What is the name of the person who holds the fan or mirror at a bikini photo shoot? Oh well, careerbuilder probably doesn't have any openings listed for that anyway. Oooohhhhh!! Garage sale!!!!

Oooh! Just look at all that yummy encouragement! You guys rock and have given me new energy! I have now found two jobs that sounded great but closed months ago. Why don't they take the adverts down?! I'm sending my CV anyway - the person they got can't be as good as me! (See that's that positive thinking stuff!)

I do like the idea of being an exotic snake dancer but can't afford the snake. I'd need a really big one to stay decent!
