Anyone catch that little irony in his Wednesday speech? Bush said that one of the hardest parts of his job was trying to connect Iraq to the war on terrorism. The only connection between Iraq and terrorism is the connection that Bush created AFTER the invasion.

Heh heh heh. www.armytimes.com/story.php?f=1-292925-2091485.php

Yup, the Prezdent is working hard.

So, you're denying that Saddam sent $$ to families of Hammas suicide bombers ? Are you denying tha Iraq harbored terrorist ? You're denying that Saddam had a hand an ANY terrorism what so ever before the spring of '03 ?? If that's what you're saying, then you're an idiot.

Oh, oh! Do I need a link for that too??

As I recall, one of the many rationalizations for invading Iraq was that Saddam was in a position to give WMD to Al Qaida. I don't seem to recall Bush saying that we had to invade Iraq in order to stop Hammas, do you? If you do, you had BETTER post that link because that would be a news item worth reporting.

BTW- I posted the LINK to make plain that the "context" of my comment was retrospective justification for the invasion of Iraq. You chose to take my comment out of context.

The issue is whether Iraq was in cahoots with Al-Qaeda.

The CIA's denying it. And the military. And me.

Iraq had nothing to do with Al-Qaeda.

And if you think I'm an idiot, well, I'll consider that a star to steer by.

I saw an interview where Bush was talking about how important Iraq was to the War on Terror as justification for the War in the first place.

I merely thought "Yeah, it is NOW"

I really think the key to getting out of this mess is to drop this 'War on Terror' nonsense. Letting the neo-cons sell us that package deal is the biggest blunder we've made. You can't defeat a concept or a technique of conflict.

The only justifiable war is with Al-Qeada, they're the ones who attacked us. For all intents and purposes we've already won that war.

I agree. I'm not sure if it's funny or sick that people in my country who have lived with terrorism their entire lives suddenly think Terrorists are everywhere now because of terms like "The War on Terror". I will never cease to be amased at the abillity of the feeble minded to be swayed by a catchy phrase, what they really need is theme tune, something morons can really get behind.

With logic like yours, AUR, who needs Fox news?

So what? That immediately justifies a strike against Iraq? So did the Saudis, who continually prop up the Palestinian cause, but I didn't see us strike there. And by that logic, when do we bomb ourselves, for propping up Afgheni drug warlords who attack that government?

Since when did Israel's problem's become ours, by that note? If we're going to attack any country that supports some form of terror or another, you better strap on the combat boots, son, because we're going to need a shitload more soldiers.

Of the kind we were looking for? Absolutely denying it.

Any thinktank in the US, as well as the 9/11 commission and (just this week, finally!) GWB has said Iraq had no connection to Al-Qaida. Who did they have a connection to? OMG!! Oh Noes!! The 75-year old terrorist from the Achille Lauro!! We'd better invade!!

Cite a reference that he had. Burden of proof is on you, not us. Our own gov't is saying there was no Al-Q connection, and I can't remember any foreign-origin terror attacks in the US for 8 full years prior to 9/11. Show us where he had been involved in terrorist activities in the US, or I'm afraid you, sir, are the idiot.

Yes. But judging from past behavior, I sincerly doubt you'll give us one.

The hardest part of Bush's job is remembering that soap is not edible.
