I've only just found out about but there's a PC space shuttle simulation called Orbiter & its not just about shuttle's,see there's loads of people who make other spaceships & planes you can use in the simulator like Enterprise,Battlestar Galactica(with a viper,sweet)Death Star,& yes the ultimate spaceship Serenity(the file's called Firefly)so you can go flying around the solar system in Serenity. And this space simulator is completely free so are addons.
READ THIS BEFORE DOWNLOADING ADDON'S!!!!!!!
WHEN DOWNLOADING ADDON'S REMEMBER TO ONLY GET ADDON'S WHICH ARE MADE OR HAVE BEEN UPDATED FOR THE LATEST VERSION OF ORBITER WHICH IS THE 2006 VERSION(060504).NOW www.orbithangar.com HAS A SEARCH ENGINE FOR ADDON'S SO MAKE SURE TO CHECK ONLY THE 060504 ADDON'S.WHERE www.avism.net YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU SEARCH BY DATE & ONLY DOWNLOAD THE ADDON'S WHICH WERE MADE IN 2006.
For addon's at http://library.avsim.net you have to register.
But for addon's at this address you don't have to register http://www.orbithangar.com/index.php
And please don't ask me about any problems about how to install or play,etc. because I've only just downloaded the files but if you want to find out stuff like that just google it or check out the sites I've listed.

I found this a while ago, but I can't figure out how to fly the crazy thing. I'm not terribly familiar with Flight Simulators, so I'm a bit confused. Any suggestions on where to find a tutorial?

Just do what Wash would do. Just flick those four switches which are above his head. They normally seem to do something.
