oh yes, my cat will love the water bed.

No, its not the alliance. It my decidedly les glamorous landlord. It got to the point where he has to fix the house up or fails all his inspections (and, er, the house falls down) So the wiring needs replacing, the back section of the house needs a 'damp course injection', new window need putting in and the roof needs fixing, and after all that is done, it will probably need replastering and decorating. Which means (in the best possible scenario of them doing it all at roughly the same time) tha we'll have no electricity, no heating, no hot water and no windows for some time, all of our belongings will have to be stored elsewhare (and at the very least moved to the centers of each room) so really we cant live in the house. My mother may be able to stay at her boyfriends house, my brother and his girlfriend were planning to move in together soonish, so they may move their plans forward, but i have nowhere to go.

I do have one slim chance, a friend has just moved into a new shared house, and her house mates arn't moving back in until the start of term (september) so if they do it all this summer, hopefully it means I may be able to ask her. She could do with what money I could give her, and i need the roof!

Worst case scenario - i end up in a tent at a my mums boyfriends dads garden (its huge! ;ife a small woods) which is fine, don't mind camping, but it means that I don't get to see you guys at all!

Promise you'll all write to me?

S'okay c. I understand.
I'm not attending S3, sorry. I'm not even sure I know what S3 is(I'm guessing it's a con). Haha! You might be enigmatic, but I'm hopelessly ignorant. Great combination, huh?

Wacky fun!

Thank you, Serenity. Blame the sudden influx of people using new emoticons on PhoenixRose ...she posted a few, and got us all in a tizzy about finding new ones. Check the Forsaken threads and you will see what I mean...

All things will work out for you, Seryn, you shall see. And if they don't, then let us know...we will come fix it!

Holding until you get back, Captain.

aye, it is an excessively cute emoticon.

yup, something wil work out.

My biggest worry is that the landlord will then whack the rent up, we wont be able to afford it or any other place (since we moved, the rents in the area have shot up.) so i'm kind of concerned full stop.

I think its just becoming really important now to just get another, full time, job, no matter how sit it is, and just slug it out, to pay full rent on a place and until my college debts are paid off and I can think about doing something careery.

of course, I should have actually benn able to work that out from your very first post.

ok, its the fifth day of the school holidays, and i work in the toyshop of a free museum, my brain has checked out already - basic motor functions are still there, but the rest of it has retreated to a small safe place for its own protection.

please forgive my temporary stupidity.

(hopefully it's temporary)

ok, if I wasn't already, i'm now going to lie down, a pillow would be tremendously helpfull, as would a cool cloth to stick on my forehead and a tape repeating the phrase 'its just till monday' 'its just till monday' over and over again would be just grand.

how about a pillow that can keep repeating "It's just till Monday" over and over again while holding a cool cloth to your head?

Seryn:

Sounds fun. When I was living in Hull the house was a death trap, literally, how I didn't get electrocuted is beyond me.

I suspect the wiring is like that still, plus the landlord sub letted while I was away, so I came back to find myself homeless and kipping on a mates floor.

I asked for my rent back, which they gave along with a bill for a phantom vacuum cleaner which cost a hundred and fifty pounds (strangely exactly what they owed me in rent, funny that).

Then they rung the council to charge me council tax for a house I WASN'T living in because they had sub letted it and then CHARGED me for the pleasure...

Which explains why I want to buy, because land lords suck and should be beaten daily with sticks.
