So, I'm excited to see Alan's new film "Death at a Funeral" when it comes out. It's directed by Frank Oz and also stars some really great talent like Matthew Macfadyen and Peter Dinklage--a film geek orgasim, practically. I've seen the trailer before and the poster, which features a pale, red-headed naked person slumped over in a chair with his back to us on the right. (See here:

Yes, after two weary months I finally have my own car again. :) Let me tell ya, with all these spiff toys online to help you buy a used vehicle(cars.com & carfax.com) it's a pity that by the time one finds out whether or not a car is a good value, in good repair, that it's gone by the time you actually go to [b]see[/b] the ruttin' thing. Really. Almost every car I earmarked to see, was gone by the time I got to the dealership. The few that weren't turned out to be lemons. So, after banging my head on my desktop, my stepdad found a used Saturn up by him with low miles and for a good price. So I took back up my mom's SUV and bought it. It rides nice, but I had to replace 1 tire as it was old, dead, and didn't match the other three. I've also got to find out where in my tiny apartment, I can fit stuff my mom left me and gat it down state soon. I brought home a bookcase and all her cookbooks and religious items this weekend while I was up there. While this is going on, work is getting antsy about Fiscal year end and I've been doing OT there to at least catch up from all the work I've missed the past six months. I'm exhaused, still not sleeping too well, may not be able to afford to go to Pensic and, oh, I have jury duty at the end of the month. The fun just never stops. :knife: I owe my friend $1000.00 that she loaned me for the car downpayment...she'll get $450 back fairly soon as that's what I'll be getting from my tax returns and the rest as I can cull it out of subsequent paychecks. I have hopes of being able to spend more time online sometime soon. I miss all of you, I hope you're all well and I thank God for ya'll daily. *hugs*

So after watching Dead Like Me, it dawned on me...this show has been cancelled as well. It's like the world is made for everyone but the ones that have the potential to do something amazing. Take for instance, people with bad hearing. They turn the music waaaaay up and the people with better hearing make this sacrafice so that bad ears can hear, while all along the good ears are lessening THEIR ability to hear by compensating for the person who needs volume 50. The only reason people can fall into likeness is because the people with visions, with understandings, or better hearing have to heed and compensate for those with bad hearing. So the whole world can sit by and watch Greys Anatomy or CSI (I happen to watch them...but thats beside the point!) while the less noticed brillant shows get cancelled because they don't contain enough angst or science?! (Though who wasn't cheering for Gil/Sarah?) We have to sacrifice something amazing for all those that don't get it or live for DRAMADRAMADRAMA? What if I want to watch the cynical little dead girl take souls? It doesn't matter because majority rules with a tyrant fist smashing to pieces the people who face the world with a different understanding. They always say 'be unique' but how is this possible when anyone different is overrun by the majority of the world, whats popular becomes what we listen to, watch, read, talk about. How can anyone be unique in a world where the little things get washed away for the big picture?! It doesn't matter what I want to watch its what the world wants to watch, it doesn't matter that I can listen to my Ipod one click before silence (despite the concerts...) when the rest of the world screams everything that 'needs' to be said. So I'll do what majority does. I'll scream back.

OSU denied my transfer application. Although my calculations were correct when I figured out my combined GPA. Along with my parents calculations, OSU insisted that my GPA wasn't high enough. Which is complete bull. So my father and I went to go find out exactly what was going on. OSU said my GPA was three-hundredths of a point off to be allowed admittance. OH MY GOD! Seriously, not fair. My grades are more than good enough to make it. My father asked how OSU calculated my GPA and they say. Oh, we average the two GPAs...well, then we asked if we could see the calculations, the lady at OSU said. Well, the computer does it. They couldn't show us how the calculated it. I mean, three-hundredths of a point! Why can't they round up?!?! ARRRR! So, now i'm stuck at a college where the courses are too easy! I'm going out of my mind with bordem. I don't even feel like going to class it's so boring, but i know i can't do that. I need to get the grades, to prove to OSU that I can handle college classes. OH! And another thing. OSU thinks not all of my classes will transfer, so I might have to retake classes. -_- They also said my french class, that i took in high school might not qualify me to not take a foreign language class in college. But, you see, my high school plans it, if you pass three years and are proficent, that completes the college requirement. I told the OSU lady this, but she said, well then you can just test out of it. Um.I finished french sophomore year. That was four years ago. I don't remember any of it! How could i test out??!! -_- Another beef againist OSU. My brother is a senior this year, he auditioned for the School of Music at OSU. He's been taking lessons with the classical trombone professor and his TA. He got into the school of music! YAY.....no. OSU denied him addmittance to main campus. they told him that he had to take classes at a branch campus. The information for the branch campus says you can take music class, they argue that the classes are the same as those on main campus. WRONG! The branch campus website for classes lists all the music classes, BUT the buildings they're in are on MAIN CAMPUS! Now, how is he supposed to get there?!?!? We asked the director of the school of music...He said that's not possible. He's not allowed to take classes on Main campus. So he sugguested going to the branch campus and taking a year off of music. Now any college musician can tell you. That's not an opition. He'll be way behind. So the director (unoffically) said, if he was serious about music, he should choose another school. OSU's unprofessional behavior pisses me off. They get my brother's hopes up admitting him to the school of music, only to take it away by denying him admittance. I'm seriously pissed off with colleges right now.
