Writing!
Wednesday, 22 February 2006 03:35:13

Well, here we are. I find myself a mere three stories away from finishing my insane little scheme of doing nine short, singular character studies of the BDHs. As of now, this project has topped out 100 pages. Barring the last three (Inara, Jayne, and Book, in that order) being unbelievably short, there is no way that this thing won't wind up at least 150 pages in length. No way at all. And that, my friends is shiny as shiny can be. I'd like to thank everybody who's tagged along with me so far. Muchas gracias. For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, get thee hence to the BSR and read up! My ego is fragile and it needs all of the stroking it can get.

Just saw Jewel

...on Stargate Atlatis... I'm behind the times, only on episode 6 of season two, but there she was, playin' a wraith female... at first look I thought, there's no way I would've picked her out without haveing seen her name in the credits.. but then she did this pouty frown thing and it was SO familiar, even beind all that makeup... and the voice of course was a dead giveaway... I'd have picked her out in a second just hearing her first word... Cool to see her in another show!

Arrrggg!!!

The computer isn't working right (it's very slow), I can't find my hmework for tomorrow and I have to find somewhere to find sheet music. It's not as easy as you might think and, to top it all off, I'm flat broke. Blahg :banghead: On the up side (st least for some of you) I managed to post a shiny new Inara wp. Go take a look and tell my what you think.

First color painting
Wednesday, 22 February 2006 05:07:49

Well..I just did my first non-computer painting in over twenty years..I'm not completely comfortable with color mediums..yet..I've colored some of my ink drawing..but that was pretty much like a coloring book compared to this..I probably wont try it again until I'm more at ease...so I'm off to the gym and then some sack time..

Bard Interview on Serenity Stuff
Wednesday, 22 February 2006 16:38:48

Wow, Chris Bridges is one darn clever dude. First he writes really great articles and columns about Serenifly at his newspaper job, and then he builds a website documenting all the shiny stuff that Browncoats can want. (Dear family, my birthday wish list is at www.SerenityStuff.com.) Then it turns out that he comes up with really great interview questions, as I learned when he interviewed me about my band's recent album, On the Drift: Music Inspired by Firefly and Serenity. The interview is at

Wow

Never done a blog entry. Don't know what to make of them. Guess I will figure as I go. Having found the Browncoats I am amazed at the variety of them. Not what I would ever call consistant. But I like that. Makes for more diversity, and gods know we need that. Maybe that is what makes Firefly and Serenity so appealing. It crosses all barriers installed by society and economics. It brings a center of humanity to all those it touches. And maybe I should just stop typing. Such tripe.

"Finding Serenity"
Wednesday, 22 February 2006 22:29:58

I liked this book, it gave me alot of info on characters, or rather the tools to gain the info. I think though only 'hard core' firefly fans, as my brother called it, will really like this book. But all in all i liked it... one of my favoriet bit from it was "She can kill you and make you like it." regarding Inara. When i read that i laughed. Also a few wise words regarding 'freedom' and the characters, I love to read about how others see the characters. Specially when pointing out things i would never see on my own. It was all in all refreshing also it has all the chinies words used during the show translated and how to say them... I am proud and some what ashamed that i now know how to say that one line inara used in 'shindig'. Yes i am obsessed, yes i like to read the characters. 'Its what i do' I guess I just like to so i can understand why they do what they do. Also so i can write stuff, but i never find any thing good enough to post. and when i do i post it and then never finish... maybe i will write one shots. OH wow i am so off topic! ok umm 'Finding Serenity' neat book ummm, i liked it, but its not for every one.

Operation: Duper
Wednesday, 22 February 2006 22:40:19

As in super-duper. Actually, that's not a very good name, at all. Uh...Operation:...hell, screw it, I'm no good at this. If you have a good Operation name for going right over the :censored: heads of the movie theaters around my college and showing Serenity at a theater on top of the most unlikely building to house anything creative, aka the English Building, please submit. In the meantime, I'm just gonna figure out how to do it.
