...well, we know the rest. And this past Wednesday I got the news that one of the best fans I ever had the pleasure of making an acquaintence with, had lost his life in a tragic car accident where his vehicle was hit by someone running a red light. It's just not fair. On far too many levels, it is not fair. He was special, and I won't soon forget him. [i]Keep flyin', Jordan. MANWITHPEZ

I just got off the phone with my wife. She's in Kentucky right now with our children, staying at her grandmother's house. I automatically know its her on the phone, because I can barely hear her when she calls. There is too much child-generated background noise but it to be anyone else. We have a small conversation, in which I can hear my son in the background. Here's a short excerpt of that talk: 'lilmanwithpez: Up MOMMY! wifewithpez: You can sit here with me, but I'm not getting up just so you can sit down. I'm 23, you're 2. 'lilmanwithpez: Up! UP! UP!!! wifewithpez: No! You want to talk to Daddy? 'lilmanwithpez: Datty! And then, of course, she hands the phone to him where I get to hear mostly mouth breathing. I swear to God, he's swallowed the damn reciever. So, I try to have a little fun. manwithpez: Are you still a redhead? 'lilmanwithpez: No! manwithpez: Touch your hair and tell me. 'lilmanwithpez: That's Mommy's! wifewithpez: (background) Ow! What are you doing! And, then I hear my son laugh, and his voice fades. I can tell he's set the phone down and has run off. wifewithpez: Are you there? manwithpez: Yes. Did he touch his hair? wifewithpez: No! He just poked me in the boob and said "That's mommy's!" (suspiciously) Did you tell him to do that? manwithpez: Why would I do that? I get a kick out of that little boy. I can tell he's going to be a man after my own heart.

It's official - around September the 13th/14th, [i]FFVII:AC[/i] will be unleashed upon Japan and the USA. Square-Enix have stated that they're aiming for a UK release date by the end of the year. In the meantime, here's one of the latest trailers, shown at the beginning of E3 (there's been a longer one shown at E3, but SE hasn't let the cameras near it).

Not much has happened yet. But I am beginning to love this ship more and more. The general musk of it just makes my taste buds tingle. Haven't really found a crew yet, 'cept some rowdy guy that approached me on the market saying he was a hell of a pilot. Then he said he had once ridden a giant ripe piece of fruit through space. I don't think I really want [i]that[/i] kind of stuff on my ship. I definately don't some psychotic running us into all sorts of astroids. Well I'll keep looking. Remember, I will accept anybody with exceptional talent in engineering, piloting, medical assistance, cooking, and guarding my backside from any unwanted guns being pointed at it.
