Hiya, I was reading a fanfic and now I can't remember what it was called and it's driving my crazy. It had an original charater called Camille. She was an alliance project from the academy except it was a different part of the academy. If anyone knows the title I'd really aprciate it if you'd let me know. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well the week is half over..It's been unbelievably warm here..It got to 80 today and I gots spring fever..In march yet... You all seemed to like my Mal and the Duke...Shiny... I'm coming up with some weird ideas for drawings..Like Nathan and Morena in Casablanca...Nathan as Sam Spade in the Maltese Falcon...and then some really weird ones that I wont go into here...:) I gotta say the Duke is one of my Big Damn Heroes..and my favorite Wayne movies have gotta be the three Calvary pics he made with john ford..Fort Apache..She Wore a Yellow Ribbon and the Horse Soldiers...all classic westerns..as for non westerns I'll go with the Quiet Man..and as it's eternally playing on St.Patricks Day, It should be on tv in a few weeks... Well thank's for all the compliments...

I'm starting my spring break today. Ok, technically it doesn't start untill Sunday but I only have classes through Thursday so I say it starts the moment class ends. I'm spending the week with some friends and I've talked about Serenity so much that they asked me to bring it. I'm also bringing FF. Like I said, we've got all week. I won't spend the whole time glued to the TV though. There will be actual time spent outside, in the woods, away from FF ([i]gasp[/i] such a shock). I'm not partying much because it's still cold here (ice and snow, how I loathe you right now) and I can't afford to go south. But really, friends, Firefly and Mother Nature are all I need. I'll talk to you when I get back

This was a difficult chapter to write because I really don’t have any experience writing anything “actiony”. While this wasn’t a battle sequence, it did require that the plot stay moving. I tend to be an introspective character writer, so I had some trouble making sure that the story didn’t drag. Also, I was determined that everyone should have a chance to be a POV character at least once in this chapter, which meant writing Zoe, River, and Jayne for the first time. Fortunately, it all turned out all right. I’m actually especially proud of how River’s segment turned out, and a little bit scared of how easy it was to write. I avoided it for days, thinking it would be impossible but then I started writing, and I ended up barely changing anything. It was weird. I’m not sure everyone will agree with my view of how River’s mind might work. What I ended up doing was painting her world through associations. The building was yellow and the first thing that popped into my mind was Easter. I never meant to burden her segment with so many religious references, but I ended up liking it in context with her segment with Book in chapter Two. Well, enough of me rambling. In the next chapter, you can except to learn more about Aurelia Woo and Morris Kentdale, as well and Zoe’s reaction to River’s surprise rescue – as well as to the fact that Wash lost. Oh yeah, and Simon has something to say about this, too….

So I haven't managed to produce a blog since I worked the rodeo and got sick. But now my brain is back in action and I have a gripe. When I first started watching Firefly I couldn't understand why there weren't any noises when something happened in space. But then I remembered that space is a vacuum so there couldn't be noise and I was thrilled by it all. So acurate. And the whole inertia thing. Loved it. No reason to have engines going. Star Trek never thought that out. But then I saw the BDM. Noise. In. Space. I couldn't figure out what bugged me, but that was it. Too much noise. Maybe I just need to go back and rewatch it for the 4th time (yes I am beind, but give me a break, it's only my 3rd week). Could be it was just in the atmo that I assumed was space. I hope it was that. I hope I was so completely absorbed in the movie that nothing else matterd. But it does matter. It didn't matter while watching the BDM, it only mattered while watching the BDS. It was a lovely little quirk that I enjoyed so much. Realsim in Sci-Fi. Don't get that too often. Rae PS And I am an idiot!!! I could not figure out why I liked Adam Baldwin, but then one day it hit me (after cruising imdb). MAJOR MITCHELL!!! My first true military crush, (save Todd, but he was real). I fell in love with the way he was in ID4. Hard to believe that he came back to me after all these years. And without his shirt. Just rewatched Jaynestown. Hmmm...I wonder if I ever get married and have kids, if I could convince my husband to name our son Jayne? Maybe a middle name. You say I am crazy...I say I am passionate.

Phew! Just got back from college and I'm ready to relax. Just an interesting snippet to share with you. I was on the bus home with a friend and I pulled out the Serenity graphic novel. He was confused, as he is not yet a browncoat, I place emphasis on yet. He told me to read it out. So I did, loudly, for the whole bus to hear. I acted out the gunfights and did some chinese. Inevitably there was much looking at me funny from other passengers but I carried on. I just hope that some people on the bus thought 'Hmm this fellow is a freak, but this graphic novel seems delightful, I'll go and buy it." Also news from Dark Horse comics that Joss Whedon has confirmed another graphic novel based in the Firefly continum. Keep flyin' friends. No power in the 'verse can stop us. (P.S I am running a Serenity RPG on Friday with some friends so if it goes well I'll post up the modile I created for your little firefly mitts to get hold of. Shiny!)

NUCLEARDAY

Most important thing with working the night-shifts, I've learned, is keeping a consistent schedule. (Hard to remember to go to bed when the sun's still rising...) And if I sleep too early, I know I'll just be tired all tomorrow and end up wasting away my free time. (Okay, so I'd likely spend it watching Firefly, but still...) Feeling a little guilty about not getting much work on various projects today (still getting back into the swing of being all "creative", trying to get some more disciplined in that area... trying to do at least a little bit every day, but I guess it's okay to take a break once in awhile.) Let's see... I've got some supplies coming in sometime next week so I can experiment with getting my lunchbox done. (Still getting the side panels finished, and trying to spread the BDH's evenly over all four sides. 4 sides/ nine heroes... still deciding whether to try and pair some of them up, or just do 3 separate pics per side. Plus Kaylee keeps popping up into quite a lot of them, go figure.) Some point I'll have to get around to looking up copyright laws, see how badly I'd be infringing if I wanted to try and sell some. Figure I'll post instructions for how I did it regardless, maybe make my files available for use. (Assuming my plan works...) Doing it mostly out of love anyways... Also trying my hand at writing again. (My first love.) That's still going slowly, but I always did when I'm working on a story. (No Stephen King am I.) Have an idea for translating the plot from Fistful of Dollars/ Seven Samurai into a Firefly fic.(wait... I think that's the wrong movie. Akira Kurasawa, same plotline... can't remember it's been awhile since I saw it. There was also that Bruce Willis movie set in the '20's had the same story.) Was going to try and do it like a screenplay for an episode, but it won't fit into 45 minutes, so I'm switching back to novel-style. Never tried writing fanfic, so it's something of a challenge. Also still working on that whole winning the lottery thing... wish I had a couple hundred million dollars, 'cause guess where I'd be investing that? Okay, enough inane rambling. Maximum verbosity off. :stupid:

Soooo excited. Supposed to work at 4pm, got the day off on account of unexpected, major snow. Gee, what will I do with myself? My friends returned Firefly to me last night. (Thank God, I have a "slight" case of separation anxiety. haha I sure you all can relate. So, I'm thinking Chinese food and LOADS of laziness. Beats the hell outta work. Has any one seen "Molly and Roni's Dance Party"? I netflixed it. Apparantly Adam Baldwin And Jaimie Lee Curtis are taught 70's dance moves! It's an instructional video. nuff said.... Let's just say, I can't f'ing wait to see that! I'll be in my bunk...laughing. See ya
