So for the last eight days I've been in London seeing the ancient ruins, the cool sites, and honestly, looking for Firefly Merch. Also I was planning to see the Sci-Fi-refly convention which starts on the 28th, but I came and went too early! Seriously, so bummed out. However I heard some interesting talk about Nathan Fillion playing some role in the Halo movie from my friends, now if anyone can find a shred of Evidence on this matter I will say I'm definetly seeing the Halo movie. Brits love Firefly.

Just wanted to say thank you to FollowMal for making me official! It fits perfectly and that's hard to do because I am only slightly taller then a certain bounty hunters fire-obsessed midget. Finally got to seein' Slither. I dug it. It was massivly gory (gorey? How do you spell that?) but Nathans reactions were spot on. Our other Firefly veteran, who's name escapes me now, was also very funny. I'll buy it, then again, I'll buy whatever I can with Nathan in it. A fella at work has been borrwing my DVD box set one disc at a time, and had disc two for almost two weeks. I asked him on Tuesday if he had discs or excuses. He had neither. He wanted to keep it another day to watch them again. So cool! When he liked disc one, I told him it gets better from here. He said by Shindig he was hooked. OMR knocked him into our little moon filled with obsession and love. When he returned disc two on Wednesday, he asked for three right away. I was so excited he liked it. It's a good thing I'm not of a religion that wishes to convert people. I might be dangerous. Enough babble. I'm off. :0)

So I finally got around to finishing my first ever fanfic. I do mean very first as I have never been moved enough to write a story based on any other fictional characters. Okay, I wrote the story in a manner I remember from my childhood. I guess it turned out similar to a script or play in terms of format. When I copied it though it didn't quite turn out the way it looked on my wordpad. Live and learn I guess. The story is mostly driven by dialogue. Not a lot of description. Most of the things I spent time describing were people or places we are not familiar with. That being said this thing consumed much more time and ended up being a lot longer than I expected. Nearly twenty-seven pages on Word at just over 14,000 words. I would really like some feedback as it pertains to our BDH with regards to their dialogue and how they reacted to the situations I placed them in. If I'm dead on I'd like to know, if not then I need to fix some things before I embark on any other stories. I would also like to hear some of your thoughts on the character I introduced as he will be appearing in at least one other story I have kicking around in my head. One last thing I want to say is that writing this was in no way easy. I have always regarded myself as creative but I never imagined the difficulty involved in taking an idea and fully realizing it on paper...er I mean computer. That being said I have nothing but respect for all of you who can rip off fanfics at such a rapid pace. Mine took me nearly a month! I cannot imagine the strain of writing a full blown novel.

Wow... Firefly is at #13 on Amazon sales... Can you believe a show that only ran 3 months in 2002 is at #13 of all sales in DVDs? Or maybe that's just box sets. But still. THAT is the power of Browncoat Bucks in action... and New-found Fans-yet-to-become Browncoats... [What galls me is Fox is getting that cashy money. Does that seem right to you? Anybody know if Joss & the actors still get a piece of that money as residuals?] This is why it's really just a matter of time before we get more Firefly / Serenity, folks. Went to see a movie today and [gag] they're coming out with a Garfield 2 movie. If they cn make another dog of a cartoon cat movie, then we've got it made. Just gotta be patient and keep flyin'...

I found a Peacemaker gun this afternoon in amongst loads of nunchucks and samuri swords. I always go to ogle the displayed items but today they had the peacemaker in pride of place. I really wanted to enthuse about it to everyone I met but no-one there appreciated it. I thought maybe some of you might... So there you have it! My find of the day!

Okay so its my second entry in as many days, but I'm at work and I'm bored...Wow, I hope my boss isn't a fan. Not that he could figure out its me here complaining. "Chosen1" doesn't exactly give anything away. Other than the fact that I'm a Kung Pow fan. And I've been Chosen (obviously). I am a girl, but I admitted as much in my last blog and there are many female browncoats. Anyway, enough paranoia. My little brother just told me the most amazing thing. Joss Whedon is doing the new Wonder Woman movie. Now, I'm a big fan of Joss despite his tendency to kill off a few of my most beloved characters. Still, I'd go see just about anything he does just because he does it so well. On a separate note, I am also a wonderwoman fan. I've got the comics, I've got the coffee mug, and I have a picture of me on my third birthday wearing wonderwoman underoos. Needlesstosay, I'd go see any Wonderwoman movie regardless of who wrote or directed it. So, upon hearing two of my favorite things are being put together in the greatest combination to be introduced to the world since some guy decided to put peanut butter on his jelly sandwich, I burst out into my happy dance. You can't see me, but I am doing a rather tamed-down version of the happy dance right now in my chair. Life is good. -Chosen1 aka Taryn (that's right I said it- to hell with office place anonyminity)

Nothing has gotten me this riled up for a while. I'm sitting here ready for battle. Finally some action. On June 23 we are having what is tentatively called Serenity Day. Everyone will go out and purchase the BDM, and the event will be supported by a letter warfare (that's right, this is war) and media attention. I can only sum it up this way. ON JUNE 23, WE AIM TO MISBEHAVE.

I seriously want to go to this years Flanvention, but I have no idea how to get tickets for this thing. Does anyone have any information on this matter? I would deeply appreciate it if someone could tell me.
