How about this idea? Make up a bunch of new characters and forge them in to a Firefly-like group over the course of a series of stories. Here's the ones I've got so far Blake Taylor- A six-five african american former bandit. The captian and the engineer. Extremerly carhismatic and intelligent, but prone to violent rages. Did some anti-alliance guerilla work during the last few years of the Unification war.Wrote for an underground rebellion newspaper. About late twenties/early thirties. Ceran Web - His first mate. Is the level headed barginer of the crew always on the look out for a good deal. Not above completly ripping someone off. Very good judge of character. used to be bandit with Blake. Older than he is about mid thirties. Tall, well built woman with close cropped brown hair and striking features. Kusoke Maruto- A teenage asian. Very quiet and only speaks a little english. Blake took him in when they were bandits and he is very grateful forever being over protective of Blake. Can handle himself as well, wields two long knives.Probably abused as a child. small fast and wiry with long messy black hair. watch this space (More coming) A pilot and blakes girlfriend are up next

A metal pig, to be exact. And Alan Tudyk is too! I'm talking, of course, about Chinese Astrology. There are twelve basic Chinese star signs, each based on the year of your birth and each named after an animal. This information is combined with your bith element and, when you get *really* in depth, "hidden" animals based on the month and time you were born. Pigs are shy people who prefer to be in the background. Yes, I did say Nathan and Alan were pigs :D Wikipedia (www.wikipedia.org) also mentions that pigs are patient, straightforward, honest and are usually the most admired of all the signs. Yep, that seems accurate! I'm a fire snake, in case you were wondering. I've been wanting to draw something new for the BSR lately but I can't figure out what. So far I've pretty much just drawn Mal and River. They're my favorite characters so that makes sense but I'd really like to try someone new. Or several someones. Any requests?
