So, for anyone whose ever read my fic y'all should know I have a pretty dark take on relationships. But I've been seeing this guy for about three months, ergo the not boyfriend designation, and right now love him so much words cannot express. Let me explain.
One of our first dates was to go see Serenity. It was my nineth time, but the first for him. He hated it and actually hates Firefly. There's no accounting for taste. He even tried to distract me by making untoward advances in the theatre. (I'm a long time fan...fanatik.)
Still he went to some kind of convention on Sunday and after enduring dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, he was able to corner Nathan in the parking lot and get his autograph for me.
All hail my not-boyfriend, the most wonderful sole (lacking good taste [except for me] )in the 'verse.

Actually having to earn a living. Whatever happened to the good old patronage system where one got paid for being clever at dinner?
Why I read fanfic: I started out by hating firefly. I felt like the project took Joss away from my precious Buffy (a show whose demise I mourn to this very day). But after having bought the videos on a whim, I developed a grave and insatiable craving that fanfic helps to satisfy.
Why I write fanfic: Well I've always had this compelling desire to be at the very bottom of the geek hierarchy. Well not quite the bottom, there are always furries. Just kidding, maybe. But in all seriousness, I spend my days reading tons of case law and law review articles. After that I get to write tons of memos and briefs. So what else would I do with my spare time, but write.
Really, this is my first forray into writing since that embarassing high school poetry faze. I would just like to think everyone on this site for the amazing level of feed back and support. Ya'll are shiny.
