FIREFLY SAVED ME FROM BOREDOM
Sunday, May 9, 2004 8:11:20 PM
All this week I've been sick with Bronchitis. (Started last Saturday and still have it today.) I'd been wanting to see all the Firefly episodes because I only got to see part of the pilot (that the stupid people at Fox showed last) before they cancelled it. After seeing the pilot I fell in love with the show but, as mentioned before it was cancelled. So I resigned to a life without Firefly. Then the DVDs came out and I thought "I have enough obsessions (star wars, LOTRs, NY Yankees, etc.). I don't need another." Well, when I started feeling the bronchistis, I also felt the firefly bug catching me again. I borrowed it from a friend and when she took it back I ran out and bought it. I can't imagine how I lived without it for so long. So I spent an entire week in bed sleeping, but between naps the crew of Serenity was there to keep me company.
