Sorry for the confusion over the reposts -- for some stupid reason I didn't think about the fact that for 12 hours or so there would be way too much Quitter clogging up the BSR. I just assumed, idiotically, that the reposts would go back wherever they had been before.

But with any luck no one will ever have to figure out reposting again.

I'm too old to be reading fanfic, much less writing it. But I saw something in my mind's eye one night and it itched at me until I wrote my first story out of it.

In other news, I'm middle-aged, female, four kids and the same husband I started out with a long time ago.

I've been a schoolteacher, a librarian and a newspaper editor. I think it is all the American history I've read and taught that draws me to Mal in particular. I remember teaching about Gettysburg and using matchsticks and toothpicks to represent the soldiers. That's a lot of broken matchsticks.
