A year ago I met this girl who was a big Buffy fan. Then I bought Firefly on DVD as she suggested and we fell in love while we watched the whole series together. Then I started to go through her Buffy collection and right now I'm a few episodes from finishing season 3. We've broken up 2 months ago and she has refused to lend me Season 4.

I am asking if anyone out there would spread some love and lend me their DVDs. I doubt I'd watch them more than once so I don't want to buy and own them.

I will be more than happy to pay for the shipping and packaging.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

You should join Netflix. They have all of the Buffy episodes, as well as Angel, Firefly, or any other show on DVD. It's cheap, and you can keep the episodes as long as you like.

bah you're not missing much. I didn't really care for Season 4. Way too much relationship drama and not enough cool bad guys.

You could try joining Blockbuster Online. It's only $15.95 per month, and actually you get the first two weeks free. So you could join, order season 4 (3 discs at a time) and cancel your membership before you have to pay anything. OR, Blockbuster will now be carrying Angel and Buffy in some of their stores. I know mine has Angel now and will get Buffy soon, and I am very thrilled. So call your blockbuster or some others and see if they'll be getting them in soon.

You must see these. A lot of people complain about season 4 and yes there a few elements of the big bad storyline that fall short. BUT, there are several great episodes in this season and all of the other plot developments are well up to Buffy standards. Happy viewing my friend.

I disagree - I think season 4 is brilliant. It has many of the series all-time greatest episodes - "Hush" (silent episode), "Who Are You" (Buffy/Faith body switch), "New Moon Rising" (Oz & Tara confrontation), "Restless" (all-dream episode), plus many more great ones.

But then, what do I know, I love season 6!

I respectfully disagree Zeek. I liked season 4. It was very funny and it had one of the best eps ever Hush. I would rank season 4 fourth out of the seven seasons.

As to the topic of this thread, I would also recommend Netflix. Good service.

Well you beat me to the punch. I agree completely. And I also loved season 6, I would rank it a very close third out of the seven seasons.

No spoiler please!!!

I'm hesitant with netflix or BB online because... well... I don't like either of them.

Season 4 is my very favorite of all the seasons,
I loved the magic vs sci-fi story arc
plus loving:
Pangs
Something Blue
Hush
Restless
and many (most) of the episodes that year.

Lithi, you can check with your local libraries,
some do have DVD sets
or local video rentals

and have you tried netflix? They have a free trial period and I found them easy to deal with.

I will say that "This Year's Girl", "Who are you?" and "Hush" are very good episodes. However, they lift right out of the story arc of the season IMO. So, I'd have to rate the season very low on the overall list for seasons.

My ranking would go something like (from best to worst): 2, 3, 1, 5, 7, 4, 6
