The witch is dead!
At least one of them, anyway. When the TTIP keels over will be another cause for celebration.

I agree you should and could.
It breaks my heart that everyone here hates you.
WTF happened while I was gone? What did you do?
All you have to do for the next 7 weeks is let the moderates here eat themselves alive and just report on that and show them how crazy the Insane Regressionest Left actually Is without even speaking Sigs.
One of the best PS1 Games when I was a kid was "Loaded" and the band doing the theme song was called "PopWillEatItself".
Around the same time, aerosmith made "Eat The Rich", well before GWB and our time here.
I implore you to stop coming from a place of hatered.
7 weeks before he is actually President, and the TPP is dead.
Even if THEY don't realize it, that's a HUGE win for US.
"Madame President" said it was the "Gold Standard" in international trade.
Berry was trying to pass it while we were all looking at the election.
Berry sold the Internet to the UN while nobody was watching.
Hopefully Trump can get that back.
Don't be crazy Sigs.

Hard to admit that I didn't love this song....
U gotta LOVE IT, Sigs...
Currently I only have one speaker in my cancelling headphones, but I'm showing this song to you and listening to it now and missing 50% of it.
It's fucking surreal.....
I havent heard this awesome song in like 15 years, but I KNOW the OTHER SIDE that i'm not hearing now with just one speaker in my left ear.
Honestly, teh only thing I was looking for here was Boogie Man....\\\
IMO, the best song Aerosmith ever made.
I've been a long believer that anyone working on the "Souls" games should collaborate with the creator of Bogey Man.

The United States has consistently protected al Qaida in Syria (Saudi Arabia's pet project) by refusing to attack al Qaida's positions and by conflating al Qaida with the so-called "Free Syrian Army", which seems to be a mostly-hypothetical "moderate rebel" fighting force acting to shield the extremist forces from view.
It looks as if those al Qaida forces have finally been allowed to come into view, as American forces attacked them just after the election.

Pentagon Activates Its Fight Against Al-Nusra Front in Syria after Trump’s Victory?
The Pentagon has received an order of US President Barack Obama to deploy more unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Syria in order to detect locations of terrorists of the Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (previously known as the Al-Nusra Front) group, The Washington Post newspaper reported on Thursday, citing unnamed US military officials.
The newspaper noted that the US Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) will have more resources and more authority to track leadership of the Jabhat Fatah al-Sham.
According to sources of The Washington Post, JSOC-controlled UAVs were already conducting more operations in September and have already allowed to kill at least four ‘high-value’ targets.
This move seems a bit strange in the light of a recent statement of spokesman for the US Department of State John Kirby, who said that the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham is not the main aim of the US-led coalition in Syria, where it fights only against the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group.
So, it looks like the Pentagon has ‘sensed something’ – Donald Trump has just won presidential elections in the US, and the country’s department of defense has immediately activated its actions against Al-Nusra terrorists in Syria.

Obama directs Pentagon to target al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria, one of the most formidable forces fighting Assad
President Obama has ordered the Pentagon to find and kill the leaders of an al-Qaeda-linked group in Syria that the administration had largely ignored until now and that has been at the vanguard of the fight against the Syrian government, U.S. officials said.
The decision to deploy more drones and intelligence assets against the militant group formerly known as Jabhat al-Nusra reflects Obama’s concern that it is turning parts of Syria into a new base of operations for al-Qaeda on Europe’s southern doorstep, the officials said.
The move underlines the extent to which Obama has come to prioritize the counterterrorism mission in Syria over efforts to pressure President Bashar al-Assad to step aside, as al-Nusra is among the most effective forces battling the Syrian government.
[Amid a world of problems, Trump’s policy prescriptions remain opaque]
That shift is likely to accelerate once President-elect Donald Trump takes office. Trump has said he will be even more aggressive in going after militants than Obama, a stance that could lead to the expansion of the campaign against al-Nusra, possibly in direct cooperation with Moscow. The group now calls itself Jabhat Fatah al-Sham — or Front for the Conquest of Syria — and says it has broken with al-Qaeda, an assertion discounted by U.S. officials.
President Obama arrives at the 71st annual U.N. General Assembly in New York, on Sept. 20, 2016. (Peter Foley/Via Bloomberg)
The United States has conducted sporadic strikes in the past against veteran al-Qaeda members who migrated to northwestern Syria from Afghanistan and Pakistan to join al-Nusra and whom U.S. officials suspected of plotting against the United States and its allies.
Obama’s new order gives the U.S. military’s Joint Special Operations Command, or JSOC, wider authority and additional intelligence-collection resources to go after al-Nusra’s broader leadership, not just al-Qaeda veterans or those directly involved in external plotting.

The Good News is that EVERYTHING that OBAMA and GWB passed by Executive Order can be ripped up and forgotten.

Putin And Trump Hold Phone Conversation, Agree To Normalize Relations
Moments ago the Kremlin released a statement in which the Russian presidency reported that Putin and Trump held a conversation, in which the Russian leader congratulated his American counterpart again on his victory in the presidential election, wished him "success in the implementation of the pre-election program, and noted his willingness to build a partnership dialogue with the new administration on the principles of equality, mutual respect and non-interference in the internal affairs of each other."
During the conversation, Putin and Trump "not only agreed to assess the current unsatisfactory state of bilateral relations, but also spoke in favor of active joint work to normalize relations and aim for constructive cooperation on a wide range of issues. The call emphasized in particular the importance of creating a solid foundation of bilateral ties through the development of trade and economic relations.
In the call, it was also noted that that "next year marks 210 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and the United States, which in itself should stimulate a return to pragmatic, mutually beneficial cooperation, which would meet the interests of both countries, stability and security throughout the world."

Now, I know for a fact that some of RWE posters will feel that this is in Russia's interests, but my POV is that this is also in Americans' interests. I believe that is why some posters have avoided answering the question WHAT ARE AMERICA'S INTERESTS? for more than a month .... because, if they HAD to answer the question, they would come to realize that WWIII is in nobody's interests. Also, from a realistic American-centric POV, this once again attempts to split Russia and China. It separates military considerations (Russia) from economic/trade considerations (China), bringing different pressure-points on each nation.

Something to judge Trump by
Quote:
President-elect Donald Trump has said his first 100 days will be dedicated to restoring “honesty, accountability and change to Washington” through the following seven steps:
1) A Constitutional Amendment to impose term limits on all members of Congress
2) A hiring freeze on all federal employees to reduce federal workforce through attrition (exempting military, public safety, and public health)
3) A requirement that for every new federal regulation, two existing regulations must be eliminated
4) A five year ban on White House and Congressional officials becoming lobbyists after they leave government service
5) A lifetime ban on the White House officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government
6) A complete ban on foreign lobbyists raising money for American elections
7) Cancel billions in payments to U.N. climate change programs and use the money to fix America’s water and environmental infrastructure http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-11-14/soros-and-liberal-mega-donors

9) Do something effective about illegal immigration and illegal immigrants.
10) Normalize relations with Russia (and combine to fight ISIL)

I actually do believe there was a lot of voter fraud committed in certain states, but this is why I said in my new thread that I want an investigation done by 3 parties and with complete transparancy (aside from an actual list of names and ss#). With computers it could be done without infringing upon our right to vote without our votes being made public.
Remove all dead people from the voter registration lists as well as anyone who moved (if they re-registered somewhere after they moved, they will be counted there if they voted). Then purge any votes that were made by dead people and people who moved as well as any non-citizens who possibly managed to vote and viola! You get as close to legitimate vote as possible while not "outing" anyone publicly for their vote.
I have to admit truthfully, that I cannot say for sure he is funding the protests in the big cities. I've seen quite a few videos with supposed evidence, but by the time I looked on Craigslist I could not find any results for being paid to protest.
Things are so f-d up right now though that I don't know whether to believe it was Trump supporters making those images up and spreading lies, or if it was Hillary Supporters doing that and sitting back while Trump supporters took the bait and ran with it.
You have to admit that there's a 50/50 chance that either is true.
Consider the recent story about Google showing a false result showing Trump won the Popular vote as the top search result the last few days. Who originated that false information? Nowhere ever did any of the National Results show that, yet somebody found some false information and put it out there and I've seen a lot of youtube videos and a few articles saying that he was the winner of the Popular Vote.
My question is why would a Trump Supporter put that information out there originally when it's so obviously untrue? To me, it seems like a Hillary Supporter putting that false information out there would have a lot more to gain by doing so, since the only 100% obvious result is that anybody who jumped on that story and proliferated it just destroy's their credibility by doing so.
Consider also, everyone in the MSM (even on Fox News) also told you that Hillary was going to win when, at least by Electoral College (the system we've used for hundreds of years) she was blown out of the water.
At this point, it's all Psy-Ops.
"They", on both sides, know that we're a lot more informed than we ever were (not necessarily any more intelligent). As much as a Weapon the internet has become for the downtrodden and disenfranchised, it's also proned to misfire and shoot us in the face if we aren't careful.
The more the Elite jump on board, the more vigilant we have to be when using it. They are far better at this game than any of us rubes are. They've been playing it for keeps for centuries now.
I don't think they ever will take away the internet or even Wikileaks from us in the future. It's obvious that the Damning Evidence that Wikileaks provided did not matter overall since Hillary still won the Popular vote and over 61 Million people in this country voted for her. Why risk an uprising from the other side by censoring the internet?
Think back to around 10-12 years ago when Wikileaks was making a bitch out of GWB.
I want to believe that Trump is the Independent that is going to fix things, but who knows? Maybe Soros is behind Wikileaks itself and Trump winning the election was his plan all along?
Maybe Soros is just some figurehead for people behind him that remain completely faceless and nameless?

I could ask 1kiki to explain why Americans rejected the Democratic Party many, many, many times before and voted twice for Nixon and twice for Bush, two very infamous Presidents. Didn't Americans learn anything the first four years? Yes, they did!
The short answer is that Americans very much learned to love Nixon and Bush for what I see are fundamental flaws that are part of the DNA of the GOP and the DNA of a majority of American voters. Something that will always and forever escape 1kiki’s understanding is that voters are not the same as eligible voters.
There happens to be about a hundred million eligible voters who did not vote. I don't know what is in their DNA except for obliviousness and pathological political apathy. BTW... I'll believe it when I see it, but I've heard that Donald Trump has said that he will reject the $400k/yr salary of The American President and will instead only accept $1/yr for the job.
That hardly means anything if he simply uses his new platform to rape Forest Preserves nationwide and build 1,000 more golf courses with the Trump Logo, but at least for now that makes me happy as f--k.
While my Mom and Step-Dad struggle everyday with their business that never recovered since the 2007 downturn, they still go to Knights of Columbus get togethers with the much more well-to-do people in the town their business is located in.
I've gone to some of them. The pasta dinners and taco nights and such. Fundraisers. And my Mom and Stepdad are almost pathetic in how they cowtow to these rich fuckers. They, along with what I can only suspect are the other "needy" ones in the group slave away at the stoves, and when everything is over they slave away and clean up after everybody in the kitchen for an hour or two after the rich fucks leave.
Knowing that I pay almost 9% of my income to SSI and Medicade, it disgusts me when I hear some of them talk about how they went to the "Boat" last weekend and spent their SSI checks on slots, whether they win or lose.
They do the EXACT same thing that poor Black people with gambling problems do with their government money, except they got 7-Figures left in their retirement plans they don't even have to dip into!
These old, Rich Fuckers that were paying a fraction of what you and I pay today, having already bled the system for 20 years for "fun money" and will probably live another 20-30 years on it with modern medicine?.....
The next thing Trump should do that nobody is talking about?
Shut SSI payments down for rich old fucks that would not be hurt in the least if they didn't get anymore SSI benefits. While they're at it, make these rich old fucks pay the hiked Obamacare premiums instead of letting them get free Medicare on our backs.

The USA could go back to the good old days of Jefferson and Washington, when the country was truly great, and have only White men voting. If you were an employee who owned no property you could not vote. You had to be an old, rich, white man. No exceptions to that rule. My Rich Lawyer Uncle and his Rich Real Estate wife and their two Rich daughters virtually fucked Obama and Chicago's Mayor Rham. One of them is an editor for the Onion and another is an editor for Adam Ruins Everything (a show I used to love, but stopped watching mid-season this year because it got political).
It will probably take me at least 5 to 10 years of the rest of my life to make as much as any of them are making yearly now, so none of them are even close to "middle class" anymore.
About "Deserve a vote", I don't automatically believe that The Rich deserve a vote. My uncle on Facebook over 8 years ago said that Obama was one of the smartest people ever born and was an Obamaphant.
He shouldn't have been able to vote. Neither should his wife or sycophant daughters. Four Super-Successful White People who are so striken with "White Guilt" that it blinds them to any other issues.
I vote all the time, at least since I was a home owner.
I fought my property taxes when I moved here. They were nearly 2,500/yr when I bought the house. Without a lawyer, I managed to cut them to just under 1,300/yr. Because of the Men and Women I voted in Locally they were cut another 300/yr and my small town was largly taken off of the financial hook of paying for poor people in Gary, IN.
Since I'm virtually Poor myself, I get a $300 credit on my property taxes come April, so my property taxes are well below $800/yr now. If I lived 15 miles west of here in Illions, my property tax burden for the same house and land would be well over $4,000/yr.
No. I don't agree that everyone should be FORCED to vote.
Not one single person on my block, who are all white, should be able to vote since the banks own their houses.
It's not racist at all.
Imagine how great a country we would have been if only Land Owners had a vote, without the Useful Idiots.
But that's just me. The King of Wishful Thinking.
(I only, right now, realized that this song was sung by a white dude. I heard it almost everyday when I was 16 and working at Toys R Us and always assumed it was a black dude.)
Do Right, Be Right. :)

Quote:Imagine the USA where 200 million vote during 2018's midterm election. Also imagine them mailing in their ballots rather than standing in a line. There would not be much slack time for politicians where they can meet four hours a day, Monday through Friday, with the lobbyists for the top 1% to work out a special exemption for their client. There would be many sad lobbyists that can get no facetime with the governor or the railroad commissioner.

War Breaks Out Between Neo-Cons And Libertarians Over Trump's Foreign Policy
In late October, when it was still conventional wisdom that Hillary was "guaranteed" to win the presidency, the WaPo explained that among the neo-con, foreign policy "elites" of the Pentagon, a feeling of calm content had spread: after all, it was just a matter of time before the "pacifist" Obama was out, replaced by the more hawkish Hillary.
As the WaPo reported, "there is one corner of Washington where Donald Trump’s scorched-earth presidential campaign is treated as a mere distraction and where bipartisanship reigns. In the rarefied world of the Washington foreign policy establishment, President Obama’s departure from the White House — and the possible return of a more conventional and hawkish Hillary Clinton — is being met with quiet relief."
The Republicans and Democrats who make up the foreign policy elite are laying the groundwork for a more assertive American foreign policy via a flurry of reports shaped by officials who are likely to play senior roles in a potential Clinton White House.
... the so-called establishment camp, many of whom disavowed Trump during the campaign, is made up of the same people who effectively ran Hillary Clinton's tenure while she was Secretary of State, fully intent on creating zones of conflict, political instability and outright war in every imaginable place, from North Africa to Ukraine. This group is pushing for
Stephen Hadley, who served as national security adviser under George W. Bush.
Another Bush ally, John Bolton whose name has been floated as a possible secretary of State, also falls into this camp.
According to The Hill, other neo-con, establishment candidates floated include
Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn.),
Outgoing Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.),
Rising star Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), and
Senior fellow at conservative think-tank American Enterprise Institute and Former Sen. Jim Talent (R-Mo.)
“At the very least, they should wait to see who gets the top jobs. Until then, let the Trump team fill the deputy assistant secretary and assistant secretary jobs with civil servants, retired military officers and diplomats, or the large supply of loyal or obsequious second-raters who will be eager to serve,” [Eliot Cohen, a former Bush State Department senior adviser] wrote.
Some saw the op-ed as good news, believing it signified a radical turn by Trump from a foreign party establishment that should be ignored. “The first encouraging news I've heard in days. If a leader of #NeverTrump is saying this, that means the establishment hasn't won. Yet,” said Christopher Preble of the CATO Institute.
[OTOH] ... Lindsey Graham, a prominent foreign policy hawk in the Senate, issued an endorsement of Bolton on Thursday, saying: "He understands who our friends and enemies are. We see the world in very similar ways." He also slammed Paul's criticism of Bolton: “You could put the number of Republicans who will follow Rand Paul’s advice on national security in a very small car. Rand is my friend but he’s a libertarian and an outlier in the party on these issues."
Funny, that's exactly what the experts said about Trump's chances of winning not even two weeks ago.
.... And then there are the wildcards: those Trump advisers who are difficult to peg into which camp they fall into. One example is retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, who was selected by Trump as his national security adviser. Flynn is a “curious case,” said Daniel Larison, senior editor at The American Conservative. The retired Army general has said he wants to work with Russia, but also expressed contrary views in his book "Field of Fight." According to Larison, Flynn writes of an “enemy alliance” against the U.S. that includes Russia, North Korea, China, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Bolivia, VenezNOTIFY: Y | REPLY | REPLY WITH QUOTE | PERMALINK | TOP | HOME
"Free-trade" deal Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) suspended

As TPP falters, Malaysia looks to China trade pact to bolster trade
Malaysia said on Tuesday it would focus efforts on wrapping up a multi-nation trade pact led by China, as the Southeast Asian country braces for the possible collapse of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), spearheaded by the United States.
The comment comes after U.S. President Barack Obama's administration suspended efforts to win congressional approval for TPP before President-elect Donald Trump takes office, saying the pact's fate was up to Trump and Republican lawmakers.

Forbes describes how Vietnam will peel off from the pact, and other news about involved nations who have already signed TPP
Quote:
Good News For China? No TPP For The U.S., And Now Vietnam
“Vietnam has prepared to join the 12-nation TPP. However, as the U.S. has announced to suspend the deal, there would be no sufficient conditions for Vietnam to submit its proposal for ratification,” said Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
... Countries have two years to ratify this more than 2,000-pages pact ... None of the 12 countries have completed the ratification process so far. Japan, the second-largest economy after the U.S in this treaty, voted to ratify the deal this month. Prime Minister Abe is meeting Trump in New York today, where TPP is likely to be discussed....
China was not sitting on the sidelines during TPP negotiations. Along with 15 other countries, China has been negotiating a region-wide trade deal since early 2013, covering around 50% the world’s population and 30% of global GDP. The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), a less ambitious treaty than TPP, which aims to tackle some highly sensitive aspects of trade, has finished its 15th round of negotiations this month. A TPP member, Peru, expressed its interest in joining this week.
.... some [other] countries like Australia are signaling they would support a China-led regional trade deal,

And the Atlantic version of the TPP, called the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) is dead.
Quote:
Angela Merkel Sounds Death Knell for TTIP—But Don't Thank Donald TrumpGerman Chancellor Angela Merkel said Thursday at a joint press conference with U.S. President Barack Obama that negotiations over the corporate-friendly TransAtlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between Europe and the United States "will not be concluded now" that Donald Trump has been elected to succeed Obama.
It is a victory for the millions of people on both continents who voiced opposition to the massive deal. But social justice campaigners across Europe refuse to give the credit to Trump, saying that thanks to public outcry, the TTIP was "already dead" long before November 8.
Indeed, a coalition of European civil society groups and trade unions just this week warned that Trump merely exploited economic unease in order to win the presidential election, and that "[d]espite his rhetoric, Trump fully believes in deregulation, privatization, and putting profit before people."

Of course, there were many activist groups in the EU struggling to stop TTIP. One of the most pressing concerns was over biotechnology, either as introduced GMOs or as the paired Monsanto chemicals+ chemically resistant GMOs. I have seen some very concerned videos about the effects of glyphosate on root-strength and long-term field yields, animals and people, for example. The individual EU nations would have been powerless to stop Monsanto if TTIP had been ratified. But I feel that had Hillary been elected, TTIP would have been pushed through no matter what the individual nation objections, just like CETA bulldozed the objections of Wallonia.
In any case, the deal is officially dead: Merkel said so.

America for Americans. America First.
Meanwhile Trump is setting up shop for future deals overseas with Indian businessmen, the Brexit motherfucker, and a South American diplomat. He's conducting business using the power of the White House to enrich himself.
Yeah, this is gonna be a great administration for the American worker. Our tax dollars at work.

Quote:It depends on how you look at it. TTIP was in trouble already, many EU nations (France in particular) were not happy with the prospective importation of patented GMO food. BUT ...
So NOT an example of how Trump is already succeeding (thread title). In fact, an example of a European rebuke of his win.
Doesn't the timing of the statement seem more than coincidental? It does seem rather strange to me that the powerhouse nation which appears to decide EU policy on everything, and the woman who runs it, should wait until after the election to make her statement.
Merkel does whatever the USA has asked (Libya, Ukraine, Syria, immigrant crisis), even as it led to chaos in her own nation. She will be seeking a fourth term as Chancellor next year, and if past history is any guide to the future, she would continue to stick very close to USA requests. So imagine that Hillary had won. Do you think Merkel would have made the same statement on TTIP?
