I just want to say PLEASE WRITE MORE ROMANCE FANFICS! please. ok thats what I wanted to say for every romance lover in fireflyfans for every Jane/kaylee lover for every Simon/kaylee lover who god knows for most firefly fans loves Inara/mal but for me its MAL/KAYLEE oh I love firbidden love.

I'm partial to Jayne/River, myself. I dunno' why. Maybe because they're both trained killers, but Jayne grew into it, while River was just sort-of thrown into it.

For whatever reason, it's the pairing that makes the most sense to me.

My notions on shipping -

Simon/Kaylee - yes. can you imagine - if he ever got back in contact with his parents? "Mom, Dad, I married a mechanic from the border...no, not a mechanic's daughter, a mechanic...yes, she's a girl."

Jayne/Kaylee - nope. she would NEVER be able to get past the "That's why I don't ever kiss 'em on the mouth" image. Heck, I can't get past it, how would I ever be able to write about it?

Mal/Kaylee - nope, nuh-uh, no way. that would be like incest or somesuch. Not listening... la la la la la...

Now, Jayne and someone else - someone who would make him listen to his heart instead of his OTHER head that I can do.

Kayle and someone else who makes Simon stand up and take notice - possibly fight to get her back and how funny would THAT be - you betcha!
