TSA Screening Manual

The TSA released a manual for flight and other screening procedures and thought they had done a knock-up job on redacting certain sensitive areas.
Problem is they attempted to do this with a PDF editor and blew it big time. Instead of printing the document and marking out the areas by hand, they merely placed black boxes over the text in the editor. Call it laziness or stupidity. Either way, the boxes were easily defeated because they are not part of the document.

TSA gotta catch all those terrorists, and employ 1,000s of illegal aliens as airport security screeners.
Also from US Dept of Homeland Security this week:
Homeland Security to study dispersion of biological weapons in Boston subway

That's usually done by releasing deadly bioweapons in subways, FOR REAL, then counting how many people DIE in local hospitals.

I'll let you know.
The part about TSA can't stop you from photographing checkpoints was good, but if you're a pro, they got some scary hoops for ya. Probably involves one of their shock collars.

But really not much need, since I'll probably never be able to afford another airline flight anyway.

I keep telling ya how much their comm, signal and other security sucks, and how technology is a double edged sword, right ?
This is actually a mistake they CONTINUALLY make, with using the software to redact documents, which can be rolled back to unredact them, and most of the time the "classified" stuff has shit to do with security, but rather preventing exposure of their embarassing stupidity, incompetence, or political gamesmanship, as was relative to the USDOJ report on racism/sexism within various gov depts which was heavily redacted and then unredacted in this same fashion, and them lampshaded at them over the crap they tried to hide that way.
That's as asinine as retroactive classification, cause once someone has seen or read something, especially with a trick memory like mine, you cannot make them UN-see or UN-read it, cause in point, Henry Scoop Jacksons documents which were the foundation for the PNAC agenda, and severely incriminating to certain officials of the Bush administration.
http://www.ala.org/ala/alonline/currentnews/newsarchive/2005abc/februa
ry2005a/scoop.cfm
Of course, the main reason they were removed was his layout for what amounted to a pocket coup, and how REX-84 fit neatly in with the wider PNAC type agenda he was pushing for, with the intent being more or less securing a permanent majority and then using judicial appointees in combination with executive orders to push the country in a more or less italian-fascism direction.
The critical flaw and weakness of the plan, and why it didn't work in practice even when they did have that majority is that it assumed competence and cooperation between the political movers and shakers involved - a pipe dream if there ever was one, and the main reason ole Scoop shelved the plan in the first place, along with some second thoughts about the whole matter shortly before his demise.
Everything goes somewhere, folks, and people talk, even and especially when they ain't supposed to - the only way three people keep a secret is if two of em are dead, and maybe not even then - ergo the whole idea of classification is a hoax, it's not to secure the knowledge from "enemies", but to secure it from US...
Which begs the question of why those in power seem to consider us enemies, does it not ?

If I wanted to download it, just out of curiousity, about how big is the file?
I'm not a terrorist, just a seeker of truth.
ETA: Nvm, I found it. About 2.5MB

You maybe should rename that file "barney-fifes-blackbook.pdf" and edit your post - I don't think you're doing Haken any favors.

I have no idea how big the file is.
Because that would require that I downloaded it.
Which I would never ever do.
