Not that it's worth responding to PN...and I do think it's time to change meds (or get back on them?), but two of the commentors on that article said all that needs saying:

"I'm pretty sure the calculations have left out the fact that dog food is made from the leftovers of other meat products, hence the name "dog food"" As in food that spoiled Americans wouldn't eat anyway, of which we have TONS.

"Without adequate population control, other measures will ultimately do little but prolong the inevitable."

and in a similar vein

"Might as well get a head start, because when food and water become too scarce to support the human population of earth, we're going to be eating each other, right?"

The initial post is stupid. Period.
