And yet, contrary to what so many have claimed, Obama has made no moves whatsoever to ban guns. In fact, if there's ONE area of the economy that's truly been booming for the last year, it's gun and ammunition sales. Thank Obama for that.

This wasn't really a curbing of rights; it was a failure to EXPAND those rights across state lines. And it was a very close vote. I'll take that as a somewhat encouraging sign.

For all the cries of "gun-grabber" and "they're going to take our guns", there sure as hell doesn't seem to be much enthusiasm in congress for any legislation that would mark a drastic change in current gun laws.

I'm more interested in what's going on with the state-level issues such as Montana's law regarding guns manufactured and owned by Montana residents, and their claim that they don't need federal regulations or approval since they're purely intrastate commerce, NOT interstate!

Yanno, I got a sneakin suspicion those very brisk gun and ammo sales mighta had something to do with that, call me cynical if ya like.

Kinda like how the rest of the target list during the FLDS fiasco arming up like mad put a real strong chill on the idea of raidin anyone else did.
