It seems a sad week indeed.

My nephews girlfriend was killed at the beginning of this weekend past, struck by a car while waiting for a bus and pretty much gone instantly, just out of the blue, and poof.

It never gets easier to take, and it hurts all the worse because she was one of those people so full of life and energy you'd think they might live forever - didn't know her all that well, but she lived HER life on fast-forward, and I hope she maxed out her enjoyment of it while she was here.

We don't just grieve for those lost however, we also grieve for ourselves, deprived of their continued company - and while it never does get any easier, every life they touched that goes on, celebrates their own in the only form of immortality worth the mention.

It cannot be said enough, those who do not learn from history, are doomed to endlessly repeat it
