Thanks Flattop for your hard work and getting all the info and links, that's fantastic! I did my "duty" and voted wherever I could :)

I admit though that I had a bit of trouble navigating through some of the polls and in the "voote.com" polls it took me a little while to find any reference to our dear Firefly buddies. Afterall, I would have never thought of looking for Mal and Inara in the category for best pairing as "Favourite Rich Boy/Poor Girl"? I mean HONESTLY who thought of that? ..lol...

Another vump with a question.

The link to film.com in FlatTop's post doesn't work and the link I have while successful, doesn't let me vote even with a login. Any ideas? What is this dummy doing wrong? :-(

Withdrawals? I never felt any with all this stuff going on.....the demise of the Richlabonte vote was a win in a big way so it was simply to move on to the next challenge(s). I have them dead in my sights.

Where exactly is the Stargate poll. I could not find it from their main page. I used to vote there until a year ago. We had such a big lead, so I put most of effort into TVVote.

Same thing with misterpoll. Where's the poll that has Firefly in play.

Hi everybody. Sorry for not being here the last couple days but I was supposed to go to Saratoga Falls on Friday/Saturday to visit my brother at the racing track to bet on the horses, but he cancelled on me for work, so I went on Friday to see a couple friends and then on Saturday I stayed at home and watched Burn Notice on hulu.com. Burn Notice is a good show, but to the older viewers does it seem exactly like Magnum PI? Heck in both shows it seems like everyone is either a Navy Seal or Green Beret if they weren't a spy.

The Burn Notice is an ok show, and if you want you can see it for free at hulu.com where I go sometimes to see some shows I would otherwise be unable to see. They have the complete series of firefly there too.

I just watched or rather experienced firefly through the entire series. I had never seen an episode only seen the movie prior to this. I think it safe to say it is the best series i've ever seen up untill it was cancelled then my life was pretty much not worth living. It would be a sin not to tell every person I ever meet from now on in that this show is pretty friggen awesome! and that it should continue. Ill be voting!

I see alot of people on here saying how tv aint the same since firefly was stopped in its tracks and how they wish it was back on tv. hey, montysoupcatcher - already joined. I'm also a member of the 76th and we'll be marching next Saturday at DragonCon in Atlanta (in our Independent Army uniforms) to spread the word of the Firefly 'verse to the thousands who line the streets and watch the parade.
I'll also be a part of the 'blue glove' campaign in Nov. Everyone here is "really a fan," and would love to see our ship sail again.

RAY!! and MRS RAY!! - Well, if you're coming down for the parade (10 a.m. on Saturday) A whole pile of us will be marching in our Independent army uniforms then right after the march gathering at the Marriott (10th floor - it's a wide open space) for some awards and fellowship - LOVE to meet you and the Mrs. There's also a 5:30 Firefly panel with Nathan, Alan, Jewel and Morena that I am going to do all I can to get to.
Of course - Saturday night (10 p.m. - At the Sheraton Grand Ballroom (it's the newest addition to the DragonCon hotels) is the shindig! And I think just about every, single browncoat at D*C is planning on attending that! Goody, goody, goody!! (so glad you're gonna be there-wish everyone could!)

Edit: I'm a little unfocused on what's going on at savefirefly.org. There seems to be some debate on whether or not the gloves should be sent? Also in regard to the countdown thing going on, this signifies to send in the gloves (with message) anytime before that time/date right? The link to paypal didn't work so I couldn't order but will try again later as I'm also having issues logging in that need to be resolved.....

Nertz. We'll probably still be standing in line to register when the parade goes by.

It's awesome that so many shiny folks are gonna be at DC, though! That's really the only reason the missus and I are going to attend, this year. Otherwise, we'd probably have sat this one out, too.

I didn't vote all whedonverse though. For the hottest pilot I voted Aeryn Sun (Farscape). Malcolm Reynold may be the dream of many here but he doesn't float my boat. Not the way a a pilot should anyways.

Just in case this is your only contact with the outside world atm, there's an election coming up this November 4th. I'm taking Shepherd Book's position on this one: I don't care who you vote for, just vote. If you don't like either of the "main" candidates, vote for a third party. Write in your own name if you like.

If you've never voted before, or have moved since the last election - call your local Board of Elections, and find out what you need to do. Just do it soon, as some places won't let you vote if you register too close to the election date.

Well, at least TV Tally doesn't currently seem to be rife with the typical rampant cheating. Makes it a tad more worthwhile participating, when you know the playing field is level. By the way, folks who are voting at TV Tally do know you get to vote for up to 2 shows every six hours, right?

5k run in a new pair of running shoes. They're super comfortable, but they "correct", or maybe "compensate for" my foot position. I'm too used to doing it wrong I suppose, and stretching everything the right way will take a little time.

I noticed that as well, what's wrong with once daily or something. I don't think the Whedon weekly or the BBC figures have changed in nearly a fortnights worth of daily voting. I don't see them tallying any of the inputs at all.....

Whedon and BBC to tally. I've kept track. A year ago, we were making good progress at Whedon, then some Angelistas caught on to what we were doing, and stalled us. Now we are making progress again. Same thing happened at BBC, but now we are making some progress there as well (although Lucasites appear to be showing up there in larger numbers.) Would be nice to get Serenity there to over 50 percent. Will take an effort, as, best I can tell, it only counts one vote per IP address per day.

These two sites may not get a lot of traffic, but anyone checking on the relative enthusiasm of the fandoms will have those two sites show up on a Google search.

Over at http://weekinwhedon.org/wiw/ we are making progress. We are now only 1157 votes behind Angel. In early July were 1190 behind and were starting to lose ground fast, and in late April we were 1890 behind. We've made a comeback in the last two weeks.
