I would love to go to a convention someday, but I will have to wait until one comes around to New England or maybe New York.

RAY!! and MRS RAY!! - Well, if you're coming down for the parade (10 a.m. on Saturday) A whole pile of us will be marching in our Independent army uniforms then right after the march gathering at the Marriott (10th floor - it's a wide open space) for some awards and fellowship - LOVE to meet you and the Mrs. There's also a 5:30 Firefly panel with Nathan, Alan, Jewel and Morena that I am going to do all I can to get to.
Of course - Saturday night (10 p.m. - At the Sheraton Grand Ballroom (it's the newest addition to the DragonCon hotels) is the shindig! And I think just about every, single browncoat at D*C is planning on attending that! Goody, goody, goody!! (so glad you're gonna be there-wish everyone could!)

It's been 20+ years since I lived in Atlanta. I'm guessing it's changed a bit since then.

Edit: I'm a little unfocused on what's going on at savefirefly.org. There seems to be some debate on whether or not the gloves should be sent? Also in regard to the countdown thing going on, this signifies to send in the gloves (with message) anytime before that time/date right? The link to paypal didn't work so I couldn't order but will try again later as I'm also having issues logging in that need to be resolved.....
Now.....back to the trenches.

Ray, we found it very helpful to get cell phone numbers from people we want to meet up with. Ask folks for them to PM numbers to you,...I am not going this year, due to both my sister and brother coming for a visit. You will just love it,...everywhere you look it crazies like us!!!

It's awesome that so many shiny folks are gonna be at DC, though! That's really the only reason the missus and I are going to attend, this year. Otherwise, we'd probably have sat this one out, too.
Anybody going who wants to be in contact with the ManKitty, PM me, and we'll exchange cell numbers, so we can coordinate meetups on Saturday, or at least tell each other where in the Shindig ballroom we're hiding.
