Yesterday, Firefly received 1,407 (1,538) votes, 131 fewer than the previous day. Pretty gorram shiny for a Sunday, Browncoats! Well done!

We will get our final banner, for 755,000 votes, in another 2,668 (4,075) votes, and 1.9 (2.65) days.

The missus and I put in 22 total votes on our IP, yesterday, including Bonanza, BSG, Buffy, Jericho, Angel, Babylon 5, Ponderosa, Dark Shadows, Blood Ties, all our friends with whom we share our success. We're on a sprint for the finish, Browncoats! Let's make sure the whole team gets across the finish line!

An estimated 2.19 (3.3) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting. That figure may drop by more than a day with a resumption of weekday voting; expect the last day of voting to be Tuesday.

Dark Shadows is fighting hard to reach 150k, at .57 (1.74) days out, now TWO days ahead of schedule! DS is actually in a position to make one more pass, if they can sustain the pace, the last one of the Poll. However, with sustained intensified voting, they could still find themselves behind, again! Our friends the Barnabas Browncoats (DS voters) have made a HUGE contribution to Firefly. Assuming a modest 30 votes per day (which is just the numbers I know I can confirm), that's 900 votes per month, which, since we started working together in September, comes easily to around 10,000 votes. Without their help, we Browncoats wouldn't be where we are. Many thanks to those who are boosting our friends towards their goal!

Vump and I remember in French commando school the French were so very proud of their brand new barracks that had no toilets. What they did was cut holes into one room on the ground floor and that was the everyone's toilet until the holes were full and then they put cement over those holes, move the beds from another room on the first floor into that old bathroom and put some new holes in the room just cleared out. We Americans marvelled at how stupid the French Army really was.

The difference between Moms & Dads
Moms
Two-year old wanders into the kitchen & reaches for the stove. "Don't touch that Baby, it's hot."
"What's 'Hot' Mommy?"
"The stove is hot. It will hurt."
Child reaches for the stove repeatedly, asking what 'Hot' is. Mom keeps explaining that the stove is 'Hot', and don't touch. Eventually the kid gets bored and wanders away.

Dads
Two-year old wanders into the kitchen & reaches for the stove. "Don't touch the stove, it's hot."
"What's 'Hot' Daddy?"
"Go ahead, touch it."
When Mom comes in and asks why the baby is crying, Dad says, "Mikey, touch the stove."
Mikey cries, "No! It's HOT!"

The missus and I put in 23 total votes on our IP, yesterday (plus another 9 votes she put in from work), including all our friends with whom we share our success. We're on a sprint for the finish, Browncoats! Let's make sure the whole team gets across the finish line!

Also, Ray, surely you can calculate statistics in other polls, too...? You might have to change a few badges and frills on that robe, but you shouldn't have to hand them in quite yet...
