Google alerts pretty worthless re: Ripper

Tired of waiting for tidbits of news here and there on any hope of the reviving and airing of SAH's Giles character aka 'Ripper' on BBC, I signed up for Google alerts to send me any updates on the topic.

What I kept getting was old news, from last summer and older. WTF ? Anyone else have similiar experiences w/ Google alerts? And more importantly, is there a definate word on the Ripper project ?
