Just because he didn't get convicted of Tax Evasion does NOT mean you don't have to pay taxes.

He still got convicted of not filing his returns.

He had a pretty good defense which was 'Gosh, I didn't know no better'.

He's a famous actor with hit films like 'Major League' and 'Mo Better Blues'.

He had really expensive attorneys.

You Ron Paul types are not famous, nobody will buy your defense, you can't afford good lawyers (no good lawyer accepts 'Ron Paul' dollars), and you never starred as a drag queen in 'To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar' (this means you too PirateNews...just being a drag queen does not count).

As a government employee I promise you another year of marginally competent service by disinterested civil servants dedicated to making your community a place to live (good, bad...eh, you still have to live there). So pay your taxes on time...I need my new car.

I've never been afraid of the tax man. I know if I ever get audited they'll find out I missed some deduction I was eligible for and they owe me a big refund.
