Chris, Chris... Why must you use your powers for evil?

What about WMD's???

What does Hans Blix say?

Is Susan Sarandon teaming up with Ben & Jerry's once again to make a Don't Invade Myanmar TV ad?

Are France & Russia on the take from the military junta in Myanmar?

Any trouble with the UN's food for pre-teen sex program....any abuses?

C'mon Chris...you gotta look into all this important stuff before you go makin' wild announcements.

I note for the record that there is no Burma. You may be thinking of the Union of Myanmar.

I also note for the record that Rambo is already there: http://apnews.myway.com/article/20071001/D8S0LED00.html

And finally: Are you saying you want an invasion or that you don't want an invasion? And does the lack of oil justify an invasion or does presense of oil nullify and otherwise legitimate war?

And really isn't this all the fault of radical buddism?

Oh cool! This should make a good lead in for Sat football games! I love those night vision explosions!

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

Well then you'd best get your M16 dude. Didn't you argue that if you support a war you have to go? Or was that only the ones you disagree with?

Hello,

What part is that, Chris?

I would presume that most people wouldn't be in favor of invading a country and replacing its government with a friendlier one at this point.

They could be roasting monks on open fires and impaling them on sticks, and I doubt we'd go.

The illegitimate war has probably sapped our desire to fight any legitimate ones.

I hope that's not the case.

But then, I had hoped we wouldn't attack Iran, and look how that's ramping up.

I have very little sympathy for southeast asia and especially that region considering the main draw of it's tourism industry.

As most of the participants of this spat are too old to be active victims of such - and many on either side are recipients of the proceeds one way or another...

So, yanno, I don't really care too much what the casualties are, and I really don't want us to intervene as we'd make a muck of it and generally side with shitheads like Than Shwe anyhows.

Besides, he knows not what he has done, it takes a heck of a lot to piss off Buddist Monks, especially the Theravada, but once enraged and set on a course like this, they may water the earth with tears of sorrow for the violence, but they'll do it while kicking your ass to hell and back - and there's a damned LOT of them.

They're gonna bury his ass, or run out of monks, and I don't think Shwe has enough troops, guns or ammunition to run them out of monks, so my concern is generally whether or not certain policies will change when it's all over and done with.

Till THAT happens, I couldn't give a damn what happens to any of em involved.

Hmm...your a liberal and therefore probably favor legalisation of drugs. The Union of Myanmar is the world's second largest opium producer.

This would not be a war for oil...it would be a war for heroin led by "Black Market Chrisisall".

Edited to add: ...or perhaps "Sex-Traffic Chrisisall".

I can see where you're coming from, and the sex-trafficking is a major thing there, so yeah, a lot of 'em suck, still, the monks, man, let's invade for the monks!
(I know we can't, but...)

Save the monks Chrisisall

An anarchist. Please. I like having my garbage picked up and the mail delivered. Maybe if you and your Monk buddies had more respect for mailcarriers then the world would be a better place.

Have the Monks really been killed if they are reincarnated?

I picked up The Postman, btw. Good flick, very under-rated.

The Postman was pretty good, but the end felt like a bit of a let down.
