Charlie Sheen is reportedly talking with billionaire Mark Cuban's Magnolia Pictures to provide narration for a new release of the Internet movie "Loose Change," which challenges the official story of the events of 9/11 and suggests that elements within the US government may have allowed or even facilitated the disasters.

My pick would be the 1980 version of "Airplane".

But then, I have a warped sense of humor.

How about the documentary of that plane that crashed in the Andes where the people had to eat each other?

Because that'll just give the passengers ideas about what airplane food is made out of (to explain the taste).

I think they should show the movie right after their little safety show.

But I also think ALIVE! (the movie about the plane crash) and Airplane would be great movies to show as a triple feature.

I too admit to a warped sensa'yuma. They'd probably land to eject me at the closest airport as a 'disturbance'. I'd be laughing too hard. (I can see the police report now - apparently drunk and disorderly ...)

Love the poster, PN - do you mod those yourself, or is it from somewhere ?

In all honesty however, regardless of how anyone feels about it, pro or con, I do disagree with Virgins decision to show a political movie to a "captive" audience - it's not like they can just get up and leave the theatre, you know ?

Isn't that kind of informational force-feed to some degree what we're fighting against ?

If we go makin peoples decisions for em like that, how are we better than them ?

Sorry folks, but free speech or no, I cannot agree with this idea.

That bein said...

Didja get a load of Senator Whitehouse verbally ramming his boot up the FBI's ass ?

Man that was good stuff, with them playing the but-you-can-trust-us card, and Whitehouse just going off on em, it's about time we started questioning the usefulness of these bloated parasites who do nothing but prey on the people they're supposed to be protecting.

Also, the Kent State tape is making the rounds again, and cleaned up with modern technology, well... it speaks for itself.

My sig line is what it is for a reason, why is it that every time our vile government does something awful, that folks act like it's an isolated incident ?

It's the same blindness with cops, oh it's an isolated incident, a few rotten apples...
Bullshit - it's WHAT THEY ARE.

Well, maybe I'm envisioning this wrong, but couldn't they simply not wear headphones and/or turn off their individual screens? I've certainly felt "captive" to some really crappy movies during long flights, but in those instances I chose to read a book.

I agree in that I don't think Virgin should be using this film, but I think that might be a little too dramatic a way of phrasing it.

Don't make faces.
