I loved Alias, as well. And Jack was my favorite character on the shows (loved his last scene with Sloan).
That said, I wouldn't wish him as a father on anyone.

Jack Bristow was OK. But my fave recent tv dad is Mr. Bennett on HEROES.

Well, admittedly, Jack wasn't perfect and he was more than a little scary, but his genuine love and loyalty to his daughter still gives me goosebumps.
My own 'father' was more of a fun mix of Hank Summers and Al Bundy, so you get the picture.

I think Mr. Bristow and Mr. Bennett would get along very well.
