Overall Critisism of Buffy - Season Seven

Now don't get me wrong - I think this has been a great season. Many more check marks on the plus side than the negative side. However, there are a couple things that bother me about it. I was wondering if anyone else was thinking along the same lines.

Critisism #1:
Whats with the sitting around the house and talking? Enough already! Man, ever since that Magic Box got destroyed everyone just sat at home. It got really bad in the middle of the season (Sleeper, Bring on the Night, etc...) There were times in these episodes that everyone just sat on the couch, with their hands on their knees, TALKING. Thats it! Tonight, Buffy was thrown out of the house and what does she do? She immediatley finds a NEW house to sit in.

I would have liked to see a new set used this season, not the house.

Critisism #2:
Too many characters. Giles is back, but he's only a shell of the old Giles. Dawn is really underused. Anya should have gone away at the end of 'Selfless'. Andrew is a nice addition, as is Wood... I would've loved to see Xander/Andrew/Wood become a team. It could've been the guys version of Buffy/Willow/Dawn. As much as I like Spike, I think he should've been an outsider. The potentials are a great concept, but let them be 'potentials', not extra slayers... they should be helpless. They have no power until chosen.

Citisism #3:
The potential of The First has been squandered a bit. It should've been a constant mind game from week to week wondering who is and who isnt dead. We've seen: The Master, Dru, the Mayor, Adam, Joyce, Glory, Buffy, Tara(in the form of whats-her-name), Jonathan, Warren, Eve (potential), that other potential, ... who else? Darla (on Angel?) Okay, maybe it hasn't been squandered, but I would've liked to see even more.

Citisism #4:
Sad Buffy. Ever since Joyce died, the show hasn't been the same. I would love to see a happy Buffy again someday.

Wishes:
Bring back Oz! Just for one scene in the finale! Jenny Calendar too!

I totally agree with you, except I really can't comment on #3 and #4, and most of #2 since I haven't seen the other seasons and the other Big Bads. No clue about Joyce and Oz.

What I am trying to say is that I agree with you on #1, for the most part.
