Astronomers name new planet "Buffy"

Not kidding.

I can't find the website anymore, but in Astronomy today, our prof showed us the news about finding another kuiper belt object like Pluto and Xena and they're nameing it Buffy. Granted Xena and Buffy aren't the official names, but that's what they call them. Also take into consideration they haven't decided to officially call all these new discoveries "planets" but they are much like Pluto and bigger.

Wonder what Joss thinks about this.

Hehe..this is cool. To think, people used to laugh at the movie and show with a lead character named "Buffy."

Well, I think they probably still laugh. I was watching Whose Line the other night and they did a Buffy spoof. If I remember correctly, Collin was Buffy and Ryan was Dracula. But hey, we know what kind of shows astronomers watch.
