Alyson Hannigan will be on Friday, the 16th's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson". Of course she'll be plugging "How I Met Your Mother". Ferguson is supposed to follow Letterman. Who knows what your local affiliate does with it.

thanks for the heads-up...I'm a big fan of Alyson!

So what did you think about Aly's reaction when Craig said what he said about SMG?

What was said?

they got into the subject of people being ruined by Hollywood,
and Craig asked if she was talking about SMG and she said "no no no"
so who knows...
but I hadn't had the impression that she was complaining about anyone she had worked with
so much as objectively discussing the way people in Hollywood are in general.
Alyson was just being light and funny, I don't think she meant to be paying off old scores.
And Bat didn't you think she looked beautiful?

I ALWAYS miss the good sh*t...

"But she was naked.. and all........ articulate!"

Yeah, I thought she looked great!
I happened to have TiVoed it so I've looked at it a few times and I may be over-scrutinizing it.
I don't think Aly was trying to settle old scores either. I think she was genuinely talking in a generic way about how people in Hollywood can become insufferable @$$holes and was referring to some behavior that she had seen in her many years as an actor and did not have anyone particular in mind.
And when Ferguson just threw out the name Sarah Michelle Geller, Aly was totally taken aback. To me her expression said "What?! Why would you say that?!"
So then Ferguson says "Is that what you're trying to tell me"? Now, he was kidding or at least half-kidding and of course Aly said "no, no, no". And I think she meant it.
But since she was so surprised that Ferguson brought up SMG out of nowhere I expected Aly to verbally express her bewilderment as to why he mentioned SMG and be more...I don't know... appalled? at the suggestion that SMG was an example of what they were talking about.
Like I said, I'm probably just over-thinking something that should be taken at face value.
And please be aware I'm not trying to start any B.S. internet gossip about SMG here. I think she's very talented and I hope her upcoming films are great and do great things for her. In fact I happened to strike up a conversation with someone who was an extra on what was once REVOLVER and she said SMG was very professional.
I just wanted to know if other people had similar thoughts to mine--not about Aly's initial reaction--but the way she said what she said after that.

I think Aly wouldn't want to open that particular can of worms;
there were rumors which I myself dismiss,
about SMG not always being wonderful to everyone on set
(but in seven years of working 6 days a week
sometimes a 20 hour day...who can be sweet ALL the time?)
and I'm sure Aly didn't want to get into that discussion w/Craig in case he heard something somewhere....
I don't think Aly was talking about SMG,
I agree with you that she was shocked that Craig thought for a second she might mean her,
but she didn't want to get into an indepth discussion on that topic regardless....
JMPO of course.
I think the main thing on Aly's mind was:
I want to be pushing 'How I Met Your Mother'
has that even been mentioned enough?!

You're right, I'm sure Aly would have liked to have talked about HIMYM more.
I'm looking forward to HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, Aly looks great and it'll be fun to see her in a sitcom--a form virtually everyone thinks is well-suited to her talents. And the show might actually be good.
And it'll also be interesting to see how it and KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL fare against each other.
